The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLively festive meal. Glad we booked but fair for this time of the year. But the guys helped get us seated and ready in good time. Pint of gold was lovely.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe food and drinks were delicious, great value for money and there was a great variety, the atmosphere was lovely, the table was spacious and comfortable, the venue was cosy and warm , and the service was excellent! Many thanks for a great evening!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe pub is a lovely historic pub. Unfortunately for our recent family Sunday afternoon roast this is where our praise ends. Service not to par: Kids menus took forever, even delayed after we had to ask after 10mins of seating. Side order didn't appear, so we cancelled it 10mins after our main arrived. Request for more gravy never materialized (menu states bottomless). Food also not to par: The roast's arrived over quickly and only semi warm, looking and tasting like they had been cooked for some time and reheated. It was edible to fill hunger, but just not that enjoyable When asked for our comments at the end of the meal to be fair, once we confirmed our disappointments, we were given a discount of circa 30%. However, this shouldn't make a difference to our review that has now been requested from us online.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat service and a delicious meal. We had our own dining room too for our Christmas family get together
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA warm welcome received and great service given. We both enjoyed the Scrooge pie, which we had served with chips rather than mash. An example of how individual preferences are catered for.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood, beer and service was usual high standard. Fully appreciate the financial pressures on the hospitality industry however, food prices have crept up to the level where as a retired person they are becoming unaffordable. Can I suggest maybe offering small plates so those of us with smaller budgets and appetite are able to continue enjoying this fantastic pub.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent lunch and service. Really enjoyed the lamb curry but I can’t recommend the rhubarb sorbet which tasted of soap!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA good meal in very pleasant surroundings. The potted shrimps were delicious, as was the Sticky Toffee Pudding and the choice of clotted cream is always a delight. Lovely staff, too. Worth a visit!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeSunday roast exactly as you would wish it to be! We were staying overnight and as always our breakfast was delicious. We will be returning again in the new year.
