Went for a lovely meal on New Years Day, food was delicious. Portions though are way two big (strange thing to say I know) but I ordered the onion bhaji to start (3) in one portion, then had the chicken parmigiano, the chicken breast was so big, you could have got two portions out if it, hence I could not finish mine, which I was so annoyed as it was lovely! My husband waived on the starter and opted for the Philly cheese steak and fries which he really enjoyed, then his fave pud - sticky toffee pudding with custard. The two of us were full to bursting. Staff are all friendly and attentive but not in your face. Reasonably priced and a lovely end to a fab New Year

A party of three had lunch with you on Friday 30th December. We were at the big round table in the window by the fire. It had been a very wet week so the fire stoked up was really welcome. We all greatly enjoyed our meal. Service was quick and attentive. We have eaten with you before and will do so again.

Our first meal at the Wheatsheaf on New Year's eve and it was beautiful. Our new local when we're at our holiday home.

Me and my family had an absolute beautiful meal here in the afternoon of New year's eve, it was highly recommended to us and we were over the moon with the exceptional quality of the food, the service was outstanding and just the whole experience was delightful, the inn has so much history and it's got a friendly welcoming feel to it and we will definitely be eating here again when next in the area on holiday.

Booked on line for Sunday Lunch...very easy to do so would suggest you do the same. We both had the Roast Beef which was priced on average with other dining establishments in the area. Service was excellent but the meal was spoiled due to the plates being cold and as a result the meal went very cold quickly. Mentioned this to the waitress who suggested that I should have mentioned this sooner so that they could have reheated the meal I assume by using a microwave but my experience of reheating food in a microwave has not been to my satisfaction. We have been to the Wheatsheaf many times as it is very local to where we live and never had any reason to complain before but this time (which I'm sure was a one off) the cold plates resulting in the food going cold quickly was unfortunate. This experience will not put us off going again and I'm sure that this was an isolated case but certainly worth mentioning in a review.

We have been visiting the Pub since the early 1990,s and have seen many changes in this time. Wonderful location, atmosphere and staff. The food has changed over the years and was ok. Couple of points we would like to make from our last visit, the prawn starter is served with no side salad or accompaniment. The prawns were a lovely flavour but were lonely on there own. The main roasts were served slightly cold, and I asked if I could change the mash for cauliflower cheese and was told flat no. I wouldn’t of minded paying the difference, but no option was offered. These are a few points of feedback, overall we enjoyed our food and visit. The waitress was attentive and the food was served in a timely fashion. There was ample staff to deal with the customers throughout the pub.
