Hanahana – Newcastle City CentreSaroo, one of the most fantastic Asian restaurant I have ever seen in the United kingdom, I am not a guest who has been treated well in this restaurant , But there was a time when I used to work in this restaurant , One of the most beautiful restaurant I have ever seen. I live in Manchester now and Manchester is know for its Asian restaurants , but to be honest I have never tasted the same traditional flavor here yet.I am not writing here cause I used to work there but yes to have a nice quality Asian meal and also have a wonderful evening SAROO is the best place. I would recommend some nice dishes , definitely try these in saroo and you will find why I love SAROO, The king of all dishes(My favorite)- Chicken /lamb karai ( Ask them to make it Apna Style) Chicken/Lamb jalfarezi ( best seller I guess) Rogan josh Nan's are common in all Restaurants, Ask them to make some nice hot Chapatis for you .. Ummmm I miss Newcastle.
Alsulttan – Newcastle City CentreWe have been to the Saroo a few times and it never fails to impress. The food is great and the surroundings are very modern and very comfortable. The West Road has two excellent indian restaurants and they are both worth a visit, give the Saroo and the Shahira a go.
Alsulttan – Newcastle City CentreHaving thought about going to Sachins for years we finally went last night. We had heard it was supposed to be the best in Newcastle but we were disappointed. We both found the food very salty and we both felt that we've had better in less known restaurants around newcastle and it's surrounding areas. I much preferred the Sharhira, the Saroo and the Nisha all of these don't get as much publicity as Sachins yet they serve better food.
Sachins – Newcastle City CentreAbsolute waste of money, horrible service.Food was half cooked.
Sachins – Newcastle City CentreHaving read the comments on sugarvine my wife and I decided to have a meal at the Saroo and found it a very pleasing experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the decor was delightful and the menu extensive. The prices were very reasonable and we will recommend this restaurant without reservation.
Alsulttan – Newcastle City CentreGreat pub. Relaxed, proper fires on a cold day. Good wine and beer. Recommended highly for a laid back pint (an underestimated and oft overlooked quality in my book) Never eaten here but there food looks and smells good.
Forth Hotel – Newcastle City CentreI am very disappointed with your Restaurant, my husband and i have eaten there a few times and the meals have been very good but on Sunday 19/10/08 we came in for lunch and it was shocking we both ordered Mussels to start and i ordered Lasagna for my main meal which i have had there before but yesterday it was disgraceful it was a hard firm block in the middle of the dish and i cut it in half and it was cold it was taken away and reheated in the microwave but still came back a hard firm block there was no juices oozing or cheese sauce running i ate half of it, it was very stodgy and i couldn't digest it by the time i got home i was vomiting and all that was coming up was your lasagna i am still not 100% and have not eaten today i can honestly say that is the worst lasagna i have ever been served.
Portofino – Newcastle City CentreMy friend and I visit this place quite a bit, and every time is fantastic. The food is great, the prices are very reasonable and the service is fantastic. I especially recommend the happy hour deal. With complimentary fresh bread and a massive bowl of olives, you can't go far wrong. Definitely the best in Heaton.
La Vita – Newcastle City CentreThe King Neptune surpassed all our expectations - it was fantastic! The food was incredible, really tasty and presented beautifully. The service was also excellent, the waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive and exceedingly polite. Our meal was very enjoyable, and the environment was pleasing. The only criticism I would make is the lack of authentic Chinese music in favour of current chart hits - I would have preferred a lovely panpipe selection.
King Neptune – Newcastle City Centrei would like to get the rib eye steak recipe
Jingling Gate The – Newcastle City CentreOne of the most reliable restaurants in the Potteries. Always the same high standard and polite staff. We have been going there for years and we would recommend the premises to anyone
Koh-I-Noor – Newcastle City CentreAbsolutely the best café in Newcastle. They make the best "bailey latte", the best cheescake...just the best off everything. The atmosphere is top class, and the owner is the most friendly man you can imagine.
Cafe De Vie – Newcastle City CentreNice place, good food although menu is a little on the small side and not many choices for the fussy eater (me!) food is good quality although sometimes a little slow. customer service etc can be ever changing depending on the staff working that day. puddings are also a let down as they look like bought in... which Italian doesn't make their own tiramisu? because these guys don't! prices are average not too dear but not that cheap either. atmosphere is always buzzing because you are packed in so tightly your often touching the next peoples table!
Uno Trattoria – Newcastle City CentreI have been eating at Mamma mia's over the past 20 years and I am yet to be disappointed. Food is excellent, prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly. Its a typical Italian restaurant with typical Italian atmosphere! Had lunch there again today and those meatballs keep getting better!
Mamma Mia – Newcastle City CentreThe food in this restaurant is absolutely lovely. The decor could do with an update but don't let this put you off. The staff are lovely and friendly and the prices are reasonable. I had stuffed peppers to start and then lamb stew with rice and they were both devine. I will definitely return.
Reza Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreGreat atmosphere, excellent food , really efficient service, you can take your time with your meal or if your in a hurry can be in and out quickly.
Red Diner – Newcastle City CentreWe ate in Fujiyamas last night, had the most amazing food cooked for us, and the entertainment was second to none. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone, large and small groups included.
