Great venue, shame about the long wait to get a seat (even though we had a booking). Getting the food took another 20 mins at least. Better for lunch or during the week if you want to dine in the evening.

Having eaten here on many occasions, I can strongly recommend this as a venue. Never been disappointed, very reasonable prices, authentic food.

Awesome in every sense.

A lovely traditional Italian restaurant on Newcastle Quayside. Food and service have always been very good when we have visited (often with family or friends for a special occasion), and reasonable prices. They do an early Happy hour (Pizza/Pasta only) for bookings up to 7:00 midweek. Often very busy from Thursdays to the weekend, but still good service. Would recommend as one of the 'better' Italians in N/C.

Great for those who don't want to stare at a large plate and leave behind most of it. You can order maybe 15-20 tapas and pick a bit here a bit there. Outstanding quality and a great feeling of being away from home. All staff Spanish speaking. Some from Spain and a lot from South America.

Luigi's is the place for brilliant food at sensible prices. Their happy hour is only £4.95 for 3 courses. The service is great; everyone is treat like a friend, and the food. Mamma mia!! Child and disabled friendly- do not miss it!!

It's great. The food changes every few months. They have a nice lunch menu and a more fancy evening though i think they only open evenings later in the week and weekend. But its the best veggie place in Newcastle!

La Tasca is a great place to go if you are looking for something a bit different. The atmosphere is very happy and gives you that holiday feeling.

A great place to start a stag evening. With good food and entertaining chefs. Its fairly quick overall and very central to enable you to go on to the comedy club then a nightclub

Nice food, good service and a very pleasant atmosphere. I have eaten there 6 times in the last month and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

This place is fantastic - it stands head and shoulders above the crowd. It covers all occasions - the quick coffee and a snack on a Saturday lunch time to a special occasion meal. My family and I have been going for years and we have never had a bad meal. The only thing that stops me going more often is that I now live in Manchester - please Pani open somewhere in West Didsbury.

I loved the Balti Saag Paneer, a vegetarian delight with fresh ginger, chilli and coriander served in a sizzling Balti dish. Order a 'special naan'- they will do any variety (peshwari goes well with a Balti). The special part is the size- you can dispense with a table cloth! They also serve great mango lassi and locally made kulfi for desert. I have been eating here since I was a student and it keeps dragging me back to Newcastle!

The food is great, the staff are very friendly. It has just opened up an upstairs area, so you will always get a seat. It? B.Y.O but there is an off license next door that sell Cobra and other Indian beers.
