Love this place, lovely nachos and potato wedges. Would recommend them. And nice, decent wines. But, got the Tapas - they were nice but nothing special - meatballs were lukewarm, prawns didn? taste of coconut or chilli, the chicken one had one mouthful of chicken in it, and the beef was pretty small portion as well. So...recommend it, really like the place...and I go there a lot, but Tapas are just average.

Love nandos... nice atmosphere for a chain style place... the food's tasty and inexpensive. Always have a good time in here!

I've been to Zizzi Restaurant on a number of occasions on business and found the experience nothing more than adequate. The food was ok, although there are far more Italian restaurants in Newcastle that offer better food, although the menu is reasonably priced. If you're looking for a reasonably priced pizza/pasta restaurant then this will do fine, but if you're looking for a good authentic Italian restaurant look elsewhere.

First of all I would like to point out that I have visited both Fujiyama and HanaHana and can easily say that Fujiyama is the better of the two by a long way. I would recommend going with as many people as possible and each person ordering the set meal, ours included king prawns, steak and chicken along with a number of other japanese courses. The entertainment on offer at fujiyama is on a par with the food. If you haven? been before, all your food is cooked in front of you at your table by your chef (who must also have enough qualifications to work in a circus) you will be entertained for hours and may also be called upon to help with the cooking/entertainment. I cannot recommend this place enough, I have also visited the Hartlepool restaurant which is as good as the Newcastle place.

Excellent all round meal and service with very friendly staff and a new manageress who is quite a chatty character - which makes you feel a "special' guest at the restaurant. Will be returning to La Tasca soon - well recommended.

Excellent service, atmosphere, everyone friendly and accommodating from Manageress downwards. Would recommend this to anyone for a relaxed meal with good food.

As a vegetarian, I adore this place, both for lunch, and evening meal. What makes it even better is that my meat loving husband also loves it! It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. Very child friendly with a nice box of toys and books. Very relaxed atmosphere, and delicious, quality vegetarian food. If you're going in the evening, take a bottle of wine, as they don? have a licence to sell alcohol.

I have eaten out here a number of times and never been disappointed. I'm a big fan of seafood delights and this place hits the spot. I recommend the large pots of mussels in garlic and white wine - the sauce is perfect for bread dipping when the mussels are gone.

Eddies curries are legendary in Westerhope. His rice is superb and overall his food and service are A1.

El Torero is fab. The food is always so nice that you end up eating more than you should and not being able to move. The set tapas menu is really good value as is the paella. If you get the paella between two people there will be plenty left over. The jugs of sangria will certainly make you merry.

Our party had a great time at this restaurant. The service is prompt and efficient, the atmosphere is fun and most importantly, the food is tasty and plentiful. I would recommend the "String of Pearls" set menu, which offers a variety of delicious dishes including a sushi taster, lovely teriyaki chicken, swordfish, garlic tiger prawns and sirloin steak, all prepared on the hot plate in front of you in a fun and energetic cooking style. Make sure you try the excellent Japanese Kirin beer and join in with the egg juggling when asked, its great fun!

Absolutely superb, if you want to try something a bit different on the quayside, you will not be disappointed with El Torero. We ordered 7 different Tapas probably too much for 2 people but everything delicious, plus bottle wine & coffee £38 for 2 - service excellent, enjoy

The lady friend and I went Tapas crazy on Friday and hit El Torero and we were not disappointed. A great atmosphere, quick service and fantastic food We ordered seven dishes all of which were superb. From the juicy King Prawns in chilli and garlic to the Mussels in white wine. Together with a bottle of red wine and a dessert to share the bill came to £33.40. The dishes come separately as and when they are cooked, which I liked, as it made the whole experience less daunting. I left after two hours feeling 2 stones heavier and slightly suntanned FANTASTIC!!!!

Pricey but on a quiet night, its a good place to spend with friends. Come weekends though its full of pretentious and fake crowd flaunting any signs of wealth in order to out do each other. Good service though.
