Once again, the food, atmosphere and service at the Hopping Hare was amazing. The sirloin steak was very flavoursome and cooked to perfection. My partner had the cottage pie, which again was very, very good. The caramelised lemon tart desert was to die for. My thanks to Rosie and the team for a lovely evening.

The only thing I would say is that the website says it’s dog friendly, however they are only aloud in the garden ( maybe change the website).

The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWow! We had the loveliest experience whilst staying and dining here. We had the journey from hell and the staff were all so accommodating. We were unsure what to order, so opted for the tasting menu. Excellent excellent food, it was delicious, the plates were hot (which is a biggie for me) and the dishes all worked so perfectly. Wine was perfect, the night was perfect.

The food was well presented although the accompaniments were a bit sparse. The service from one particular young lady was cheerful and friendly even though they forgot a drink we ordered - twice! It is not cheap but we will visit again another time.
