A long wait outside on a chilly evening with no offer of drinks or nibbles. Young waitresses delightful, pity we couldn't say the same about Jorge. No apology, & complimentary drinks not offered but grudgingly given on request. We totally understand that staffing is a problem for all but an explanation and apology is all that was required. Jorge seemed to think he was doing us a favour by allowing us to eat at his restaurant. We won't be going again, shame as the food was very good though a bit expensive. The service rating below is not a reflection of the two young ladies who were cheerful and made us feel very welcome.

My partner and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening. We sat outside in the courtyard which was comfortable and romantic. Our meal was delicious. Clams to start and some complimentary bread and olives. We both had steaks which were perfectly cooked and to finish, delicious Portuguese custard tarts and espressos. Jorges was very friendly and attentive and even gave us a brandy on the house as we had a little wait for our food; not that we minded. We will definitely be returning for another meal. Thank you!

2nd time at Jorge and not disappointed. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, atmosphere was lovely and food amazing. Will definitely be back.

We were recommended this little bistro and we were certainly not disappointed. The venue was quaint with limited seating (which was a bonus as it felt like a secret venue. The food was simply delicious, especially the cuttlefish stew!!! The wine was excellent and paired well with the food and the waiting staff were knowledgable, friendly, and welcoming. We would highly recommend this little bistro and we will most definitely be visiting again!

Had a great meal there Tuesday night, the tapas starters were great, and the steaks were superb, the staff were very friendly and very helpful with food selection. A great night out.

We have been going to George restaurant for a few years and we have always enjoyed everything about the restaurant the staff the atmosphere and of course the food which is excellent all the time and Pastal Natasha which is also excellent can not fault anything keep up the great service thank you George and team.

Great little spot in the city. Amazing food and warm and friendly staff. We had a fabulous time and will be back for sure :)

Excellent restaurant, service and food amazing

Always a pleasure to visit, the food is flavoursome and the steaks I have had were perfectly cooked. Nothing is too much trouble for Jorge and his staff.

Lovely little restaurant with good service, excellent wine and delicious food, our only suggestion would be a bowl of water to clean hands when tackling the enormous seafood sharing platter!

Pleasant ambience, customer service, venue, location, food and wine

This was probably our favourite restaurant out of the ones we visited during our stay in Norwich. The place is small but has a nice ambience as a result, and we were met at the door by Jorge himself. The menu isn't huge and neither are the portions but we enjoyed the food we had very much accompanied by a couple of very nice glasses of wine. If we return to Norwich again in the future, Jorge's would definitely be high on ur list of places to eat.

We visited Jorge's for the first time on Friday evening and we are already planning our next visit. The food was incredible and a great selection of wine. Great atmosphere and the service was spot on too. Thank you Jorge's for hosting our anniversary meal!
