Beware. The a la carte menu offered only 3 mains as pizzas were on offer. This was not listed on line when I booked for lunch out with visiting relatives. Very disappointing. The mains were poor too.

The food was amazing and the landlord so welcoming. We were up for a week from Surrey and had just the best evening in the Abingdon Arms.

Delicious food and convivial atmosphere. The perfect place to enjoy a pub meal with friends.

A great location with beautiful views and space. The pub was really comfortable, the staff were very helpful and the food was very nice with generous portions. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Spent a very pleasant evening in the garden on Friday. The food was very good, and excellent value for money. The staff were polite and attentive. An ideal country pub.

Great food - had the fried chicken eggs Benedict, the haddock omelette and the french toast. Great server - so helpful and cheerful! Would recommend

Our table was very easy to book, and I appreciated the confirmation/reminder nearer the date. Service was excellent and the atmosphere had a nice buzz - plenty of conversation going on but not anything loud! It was good not to have background music, too. The menu was wide-ranging with plenty of veggy options, and the food was freshly cooked with plenty of flavour. The portions were generous too, so unfortunately we were too full to go for dessert on this occasion. Prices were not cheap, but not unreasonable either, comparing well to other similar restaurants. All in all a very satisfying way to celebrate a wedding anniversary!

My birthday at your restaurant was a beautiful experience. Although my birthday was on a Monday and the chef was away, the bar staff went out of their way to make sure my party of seven was still served. We were given generous, delicious portions of Sri Lankan curry. We couldn't stop thinking about how amazing the food must be when the chef is there! The incredible ambiance and service delivered with a smile have made this my new favorite place. I'm already planning another trip for when the chef is around.

Great Sunday Roast Lots of vegetables Good meat Busy but efficient service

Sunday lunch with family, all good. Good portions, lots of veg, arrives quickly and is reasonably priced. On a sunny day the outside upper deck is glorious, perfect way to while away a Sunday afternoon!

Amazing customer service and food is lush! Had the chicken, ham and leak pie (special of the week) was lovely greated by freindly faces! Holesome atmosphere and warm on winter evenings!

We had a lovely meal at the blowing stone on Jan 25th.the service was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious the best fish and chips cooked to perfection and served with a smile.

Booked in advance for New Year’s Day and it was closed when we arrived. I realised I got an email less than an hour before saying that it was closed today due to the oven not working. I doubt that was true as reading the other review it was closed the previous day so I would have appreciated more notice so I could have booked somewhere else.

SO disappointed with this booking. Having eaten at Cafe Coco several times in the past,and been so impressed, we booked it for a special NYE lunch with friends travelling to Oxford. We booked via sugarvine on the Cafe Coco Oxford website, had a confirmation email, only to find the cafe CLOSED on arrival yesterday. So disappointing (as well as embarrassing) after our friends travelling so far. Luckily, a restaurant up the road saved the day but not what we had hoped for at all. I can’t believe the fact the cafe was closed on NYE wasn’t made clear when we booked. If it’s closed, how can bookings still be made?! SO disappointed!
