What a great find in Penrith! A lovely friendly welcome, great staff who were very accommodating. The food- well what can I say- superb! The steaks, the risotto, the duck just perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The desserts were yummy too. Thank you for making a lockdown reunion even more special!

Booked dinner based on reviews as we planned to stay overnight in Penrith on route to Scotland. Grants certainly did not disappoint. Not the most obvious location but very central and easy to find, we had booked a hotel round the corner. Interesting menu with perfectly acceptable options, friendly and attentive service. Food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. All in all a really good find and somewhere worth visiting again. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for good food served well.

The menu doesn't have a wide choice, but both the starter (mallard breast) and the main (monkfish tails) were excellent. I would have had a beer with it, but the drinks menu is slanted towards lager. Maybe that's what their customers prefer. The staff were very friendly.

Lovely food and good atmosphere. We were in on a Wednesday night for Pizza night. The new menu was unexpected as the link from Sugarvine sent us to an old menu but we weren’t disappointed. Staff were superb and the beer was great too! Booked again for Saturday brunch as the brunch menu also looked amazing and we were very glad we did. We found this on Facebook which seems to be more up to date as stated in the previous review. The Crown in Hash was so good and the sharing breakfast was a challenge for my other half who’s eyes were greedier than his stomach. Thanks to maisy and the waiting on staff for great service.
