Had a very pleasent meal here again. As a family we have dined here many times. This time didnt disappoint. The food was nothing but fabulous. My husband had the fillet steak and it was cooked just as he likes. I had the welsh lamb and it was lovely. The service was perfect not too slow between courses but not rushed either. When ever we travel to Pothmadog we always try and fit a visit in. Well worth the visit if you like good food in a pleasent enviroment.

Saturday evening, so really very busy. We had a very nice meal: thai-style fishcakes were good. I had the suck breast which was cooked as I asked and my partner enjoyed the lamb rump. My only criticism (and I realise that this is about personal preference) is that the room is too loud and ther overhead lighting too bright. Anyway, thanks for a nice evening: see you soon/

Visiting the area and booked in after a recommendation. Great menu, very able to deal with gluten free options, there was loads, and food and service was superb.

Went for early meal for my Birthday 30-06-26 as meeting friends later .Early Bird menu different online as In Restaurant . However ok I chose rump of lamb it was ok hubby had rib eye steak did not touch as so fatty & sinuey actually inedible .Complained waitress reply was rib eye steak is like that !! Sorry we have eaten ribeye before !! £17.00 was deducted of the meal after twice discussing with CHEF we stood there for 10 minutes. I REFUSED as meal not touched finally was taken of the bill .Unfortunately will not be returning it completely ruined my meal !!.....

Always our first choice restaurant when we are holidaying in the area. Excellent food & service, staff are efficient and friendly.

I love this restaurant, the staff are wonderful, the food was suberb with great value for money. A lovely night out and reunion with old friends.

This was our first time at this restaurant and it won’t be the last. Service, food and everything about this establishment is wonderful. I would say it is one of the finest Sunday lunches I have ever had from a restaurant. The starter was superb and the main courses were fantastic. Well prepared and presented. This place is a credit to the hospitality industry.

Well what can I say, as always everything was so lovely from the service (my elderly Mom was treated with alot of respect, even got her a cushion), the food absolutely amazing. We will be returning at some point when back up in Madog! Probably the only gripe would have been the noisey children on the table near us. Their ipads or gadgets etc that they were using were far too loud, even when they were eating their food (parents fault I know)

We visited for my wife's birthday and had the most wonderful food, excellent friendly service from everyone involved and all for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a treat, look no further. Just book yourself a table at Y Sgwar. You will not regret it

Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday evening. My wife had the chicken supreme and I had the sea bass fillet which was really tasty. My wife enjoyed her dish and I had the cheesecake to finish which was sublime! Lovely ambience and the staff were great too! Will definitely be back!

Lovely spot with excellent food, beautifully presented. We can definitely recommend and will be back when we're next in the area.

This is not the first time at the Square, it is our favourite restaurant to go and celebrate. Again we took family (at their request) and again an outstanding meal was had by all but not just the meal, the friendly atmosphere and service. Thank you everyone.

We always enjoy a visit to Y Sqwar. Quality ingredients, beautifully presented. Always a great atmosphere with very helpful staff. What more could you want.
