Excellent food and service. Staff attentive and friendly .
Thyme – PoultonThere were 4 off us and all had different main courses all were very nice but beware the battered fish is huge if you're not a big eater either skip the starter or go for small Definitely would book again
The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms – Poulton-Le-FyldeVery overpriced and very bland food . Service wasn’t up to much either sadly
Thyme – PoultonWe had an amazing Sunday roast in Thyme last week. We also enjoyed the same on Mother's Day, so we went back for more & it was scrumtious. HighlyRecommended. The staff were all so lovely too, thank you to everyone at Thyme, see you again soon.
Thyme – PoultonSat down at the table to find it dirty and sticky Had to ask yo get it wiped down Besides the manager behind the bar it seamed there was only one waitress working We have been many times in the past and found the food good at a fair price It would appear that the new owners have done a bit of painting in the bar area but don’t look too closely as the plaster is breaking up in many places Now looking at the menu this pub are now charging premium prices for the food which is ok if you are in clean and well decorated surroundings and the food is excellent but unfortunately neither is the case I ordered a steak pie which I can say was tasty and hot and so were the chunky chips The pie came with fresh vegetables which were stone cold How I hate cold food My partner had a steak which was tender and tasty but missing from the dish was the onion rings and side salad Again for £24 this is not good enough I would have mentioned these failures but nobody can to the table to ask if all was ok All in all a bit so good experience at top prices There are plenty of quality eating places very close by so I am afraid we will not be returning A shame as we were expecting more when you look at the prices
The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms – Poulton-Le-FyldeNice food, we really enjoy it, but they seriously need to get more non-alcoholic options on the menu. Plenty of great non-alcoholic coders and wines available, but they only do non-alcoholic beer. Not good for people who can’t stand beer! Service is friendly if a little slow. Usually end up having to go to desk to pay as they never bring the card machine over.
Thyme – PoultonExcellent service, good foid
Thyme – PoultonThe menu on line is quite different from the one in the pub, we were disappointed by that as we’d chosen already! I don’t think we would have gone if we saw the actual menu first. According to the waitress, the restaurant and bar menus have been recently replaced with this one menu to cover both areas. A great pity.
The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms – Poulton-Le-FyldeLoved the food and staff and service were very good.
Thyme – PoultonNever been to Thyme Bistro before passed it a few times and it always looked busy and nice , my friends and i wanted to try somewhere different to try so i booked here as there was something on the menu for all. We were not disappointed the service was great the food was really lovely i had the steak and i have not eaten a well done steak cooked to perfection for ages but this was delicious we all enjoyed ourselves and will be back again so Thank You to all the staff.
Thyme – PoultonLovely welcome from the staff and the food was very tasty and well presented . Good service too . Live Musical entertainment was an added bonus to our evening out .
Thyme – PoultonThe food was excellent, we shared the greedy platter which was more than enough for 2, in fact there was enough food for 3! The homemade cookies were out of this world. My only criticism would be that it was a bit too dimly lit, apart from that everything was good.
The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms – Poulton-Le-FyldeWent on a Saturday night the staff were really good and attentive. Were served with a smile Food was good too. Would definitely go again. Thank you
Thyme – PoultonFood is fantastic. Great quality and taste at a reasonable price. Service is painfully slow, however. Sunday roast was spot on. Great portion and tasted delicious. Desserts were equally good across the board - table enjoyed the sticky toffee, baileys cheesecake and lemon tart. Would recommend. And go back - just give the staff some pro plus.
Thyme – PoultonI've been here a few times now, but when it was under the guise of the Miller's Arms and to be quite honest, not much has changed.... Let's start with the lack of atmosphere and very tired decor. This place closed for a while before it became the "Greedy Badger" which I thought would be a Godsend as it would mean lots of well needed sprucing... WRONG! Secondly, the service. This place is like a Ghost-Ship, with nobody being seen for ages and then they just float past as if you're not there. The entrance is confusing, there is a desk with nobody at it so you don't know whether or not you're supposed to be going to the bar to confirm your table, or stand around for one of the "Ghost-staff"!! We also had to wait over 30 minutes for our meal, (granted it was Mother's Day, but that's no excuse) and we had to chase the meals up instead of being told that there was a delay. We were offered a free drink, but this is not the answer to poor service & extended waiting times I'm afraid... Not good... Finally, the food... This is good. Very good. Boiling hot and plentiful with good sized portions. Prices are what I'd consider average these days, but I supposed it could be deemed pricey by some people, based on the kind of establishment it is. Overall, it's not the best, purely down to the service and the non-existent atmosphere. If they could sort that out, it'd be a top place.
The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms – Poulton-Le-FyldeI paid my parents to have afternoon tea , cakes and scones where lovely but sandwiches had hardly anything thing in them , manager was very nice but other young girl what served them was very rude
Thyme – PoultonStarters were disappointing, especially the octopus which was also a very small portion. They weren’t hot by any means and the mussels tasted odd. I he pizzas the children had were ok but the other two main courses were only lukewarm and, even when sent back, they were returned not much warmer. I love this restaurant for morning coffee and lunch but think it’s overrated and too expensive for dinner We were never table checked at any time throughout the meal which was very disappointing and disappointing inferred that they had were concerned about feedback.
Thyme – PoultonThe standard of food was excellent. The restaurant was not busy, the table was situated near the toilet door which was drafty and cold. Had to ask for the door to be closed. Disappointed at my greeting on arrival found the lady greeting customers to be abrupt didn't walk us to the table and said it's over there. Food services are good. I don't think I will return any time soon if ever, dislike being put to the back of a restaurant especially when table was booked weeks in advance.
