Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

Last week was the first time I had visited your restaurant. We booked for dinner time. The meal was wonderful. Excellent value and very good service. I will be recommending it.

Fabulous restaurant, it's my fave Thai in Lancashire. The food is absolutely delicious, with no concessions made to Western tastes (in a good way) the service is always warm and welcoming. Don't be out off by the rather pink decor, it's part of the experience and is just a sign that this place is all about the food.

We had our wedding reception at Tinos, after the wedding ceremony and then for the evening party. We cannot emphasise enough how lovely the family are and how helpful they all were. Even my two boys who are 9 and 5 enjoyed both events. Everyone still comments now on how wonderful the food was and how good the service was. The whole family especially Lynne made our day very very special and very very memorable. We cannot recommend Tinos enough.

First time at the Pond and the last. Party of 8 and had the £20 menu. Very disappointed. It certainly was not value for money. One piece of bread with cheese and then one sliver of hamloumi. Then three chicken dishes and one boiled beef one that was tasteless. One bowl of potatoes. There were two veg. in our party and they had garlic mushrooms and mash with some leaves for £20, I think not. In and out in under and hour !!!

went to the barton bangla brasserie with my boyfriend as he had heard of it but never been there. the inside was really nicely decorated, we had a drink in the waiting area which was comfortable. the food was amazing, best Indian food i have ever eaten, good portion size and so delicious. the staff were friendly and i am definitely going back there

Always a delight, where do I start? The staff are brilliant, friendly helpful and attentive, their faces light up like the Mediterranean sun. The wines are delicious, and then there's the food. The Terruel ham & Manchego with a glass of Riojan Viuira was my 1st lunch experience, deeeelisshhus. Anything with Chorizo in it gets my vote but The Deli Med is the best Chorizo I've ever bought in this country, so now I can't pass by without buying some. If you haven't been you have to try this little piece of the Med in Preston .

I do not recommend this restaurant... I ordered a chicken wrap I paid £7 for and i received a half a wrap with about two pieces of chicken in it i also had a small bowl of rice that probably cost about 50p and the rest of my plate was "beefed up" with lattice... I have never been to such a rip off place in my life...

I ate at the forum yesterday, it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Ordered hummous to start (pitta bread was like cardboard and hummous had little taste), then chicken noodles (oily and tasted re-heated). The service wasn't great at all, upon collecting the plates, my friend's fork was accidentally knocked onto her silk dress. We received an apology but it could have been a lot better. I would not eat here again. I had intended to eat at Moka and think the forum staff should go here for a meal and learn a few things about customer service and good food. I am not often this disappointed by a meal - its was awful.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with my partner as although it is slightly out of the way for us, the building caught my eye ages ago & on further inspection the menu was full of varied & more imaginative dishes than usual as well as lots of different vegetarian dishes (instead of the usual boring veggie curry, onion bahji etc...). We were not disappointed! The food was excellent & authentic, the service was super speedy, decor was modern & prices were surprisingly reasonable. No alcohol but this was not a problem, as although we do like a drink, the lassi is gorgeous & the food tastes better without alcohol. Will definitely be returning as it is well worth the drive.

Had a great meal here at the weekend. so good that we are going back this Friday for my mates birthday. Chicken livers to start, which were cooked perfectly which great spices and served on a skillet. For our mains I had the king prawn masala. I ordered the large, ate all the prawns and brought the sauce home. the next day buying more prawns and recreating the dish. My mate had the lamb, although cant remember which but he loved it. with side orders of okra, paneer and chickpeas, potato paratha and chapatis. The venue is uber trendy and always busy. a great atmosphere always awaits. See you on Friday.. 9 out of 10

We've been here four times over the past few months. Both myself & my wife have found the staff very friendly, polite & prepared to make sure any enquiries we have are thoroughly answered. It can get very busy. What we do like is also the taste of the food, though be warned, the portions can be quite big & filling! BTW,there usually seems t be some sort of discount offer involving chiquito,so it's always worth doing some internet searches & getting one of these vouchers.

My partner and I both chose the Chicken and Leak pie and it was excellent. Last time I was here it was just a small cafe with a few tables. Now they have extended considerably with a restaurant at the rear. It all has a really nice feel as it is a former Barn and is in rural green surroundings. They have a great little function room which is a stand alone building with its own wood burning oven and 360 views. Well worth a visit.

Visited Thyme Houghton for first time last night to celebrate my birthday with my lovely husband. The restaurant is quite small and intimate and for a Tuesday night was about three quarters full when we left. The service was very attentive and friendly. We had a canape each of miniature Yorkshire pud with delicious roast beef and gravy. warm bread rolls were also served. Hubby ordered chicken livers and I had rabbit and ox cheek stew served in a small pot with 2 small slices of ciabatta and raspberry sauce. Didn't care for the sauce much but both starters were delicious. For mains hubby had assiette of meat, rump, sirloin and mutton, served with 3 different flavoured mash and delicious meat gravy. I had silver hake with caper butter, I absolutely loved this meaty fish served with chorizo and mash and selection of well cooked but boring, julienne carrots, brocolli, cauliflour and new potatoes. For sweet hubby had pear and wine just tart tattin with ice cream and I had white chocolate cheesecake with white choc ice cream. The whole meal was a delight and with two soft drinks we paid £37 - mind you we did use our hi-life card which gave us one main and one starter free. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon. They also do a special menu at £14.95 for three courses, served all night. Off the a la carte, starters £8, mains £18 - £20 and sweets £7

A truly unique venue, delicious meal was had by all of us and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The seafood in particular was very well cooked and presented beautifully the scallops and fillet a good combination of flavours. We shall most definitely be back soon, to have even more sangria

Went for a curry with my girlfriend after hearing good things about Bangla Fusion. We had a friendly greeting and were seated with menus and drinks to decide what to have to eat. The surroundings are great for this, lots of comfy sofas. We were taken to our table and enjoyed some poppadoms and skipped straight to the mains. I had an Aje-Baje - chicken tikka - with a naan bread. It was the right amount of spice for me. Girlfriend had a fusion dish, with a spicy salmon with rice. Portions were excellent, service friendly and the price reasonable. Didn't realise they did a special offer on a Sunday between 1 PM 0 6 PM with three courses for around £12. Bargain! A good restaurant, in the running for an F-word nomination and a jewel in the crown of Lancashire's restaurant scene.
