Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

II had been meaning to get around to booking a mean in this wonderful looking building for ages. Finally managed to get around to it, what a disappointment. It was like waking up in the 1970's. It felt like the chef had not had a new idea (or cook book) for the last 30 years. The food was bland, poorly presented and very unimaginative. The waiting staff appeared to have been dressed for a Victorian farce, long black dresses, white frilly aprons and solid sensible footwear. All in all, an expense mistake, will not be making a return appearance.

The nicest Pizzas i have ever eaten, in the World let alone Preston, the staff are friendly and polite, I've never seen the owner without a smile on his face, i cant recommend this restaurant highly enough, but be careful with the 70% proof Absinthe, its nearly as hot as the Totto's Special Pizza, Excellent!!!!!!!

Really impressed with this place. Perfect if you wish to buy furniture too!

I had never been to a Pizza Express before so I was naturally curious as to why it is so popular, I went here yesterday and I will definitely not be eating there again. I ordered a pasta dish which came out and it was stone cold in the middle, I took it back and got no apology they just put it in the oven and brought it back hot enough to burn my mouth. Not only this but the beer and wine is extortionate and the contempt of the foreign lady when she had to reprint the bill because I had a printed voucher to use was downright rude. The staff here don't give a shit, none of them are English (or Italian) and I simply will avoid any Pizza Express for the rest of my days. One word - shit.

We have had many lovely visits to EastZEast in Manchester and raved about it , so when we heard one had opened in Preston, nearer to where we live we were pleased. We had the shared starter of fish, samosas, chicken etc which was really tasty and both went for the Lamb Ghosti which was delicious. Although we enjoyed the meal it did not feel like the special experience of EastZEast by the canal in Manchester. When we visit Manchester you are greeted by a man dressed in indian costume who is very friendly and welcoming. In Manchester it feels romantic and relaxed and the staff make it feel a special experience. In EastZEast Preston, it failed to deliver the same experience. We felt very rushed and it was very busy and noisy. We had not even eaten our poppadoms before another plate was shoved next to us and the starter arrived. We also felt pressured to hurry our meal as if they desperately wanted our table. We hate being rushed when we go out for a romantic meal and did not like the atmosphere there, so we will not go back. We will stick with Manchester next time!

Young or old ,alone, a couple or a party all will enjoy the excellent food - and the genuine welcome afforded to their customers by all the staff. I am not a smoker but am amazed at the smoking area decked out with comfy chairs, cushions, nice tables and a wood fire for the colder times. No lurking about (looking furtive) at the front door for these smokers .The Landlady and Landlord run what must be the best Pub in the area. Everything is clean comfortable and welcoming and last but not least 'as said previously' the food is excellent and for those people whose appetite is not as hearty as it once was there is a lighter bite menu. I feel sure that if you try it you will not be disappointed

We had our daughters christening at Tinos. The function room was lovely, service was excellent and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Had a fantastic day and would certainly recommend Tinos Restaurant.

We held our Wedding Reception at Tinos and haven't stopped receiving compliments. As a fussy' bride to be' Tinos were more than accommodating; giving lots of advice and reassurances. Their professionalism shone through on the night and every request was dealt with in a 5 star manner. The chefs laid on what I can only describe as the most stunning mouth watering food that made for an unforgettable Wedding party. The champagne and canape reception was a fabulous start to the evening and set the scene for our Casino themed event. We still can't believe how they delivered a high end service, beyond expectation, at such a reasonable price. If you are looking for a venue for that special occasion then Tinos should be on your shortlist.

Had a really nice lunch at pond today, we chose the chefs tasters absolutely delicious, we had visited duk previously and thought that nothing would be as good but i have to say that both are excellent. I will be recommending both far and wide and i shall look forward to visiting again soon. We are very intrigued by freds shed they say its coming soon it sounds exciting these people are obviously talented and creative with names, i for one cant wait to see what it is.

The restaurant decor was quite nice, but the bar was self service and I felt that the price for water and accompaniments was way over the top, considering the prices which were charged for what I found to be quite average food. Overall, the food was ok but not worth what they were asking. In my opinion if someone is happy to pay these prices for Indian food, the Indian gourmet evening at truffles restaurant in whittle-le-woods is definitely superior.

If you want a great meal and excellent eating experience go to the Shampan, I recommend their Nepali chicken or any of their meals on the menu as they are all prepared and cooked to perfection, the staff, Kal and his team, are the friendliest I have come across. Penworthams finest.

A little piece of heaven! We first dined at Angels on Christmas Day 2008 and have returned to this fabulous restaurant many times since. We have always received a first class service. In January my husband arranged my 50th birthday celebration and booked the whole restaurant for the occasion. Everyone was totally amazed by the venue, the lovely staff and of course the wonderful food. (they are still talking about it!) We have recommended it to many of our friends and they have never been disappointed. We are there again tonight for the dinner jazz evening and look forward to another unique dining experience. Thank you Nick, Shaun, Lewis, Simon and team.

A fine pub. Recently `done up,' but they have refreshed it without killing its character, Great people, very good beer, and I can recommend the food. (PS: I'm picky, trad, choosy about beer and nosh, and hard to please!)

Expected great things from this award wining Indian. Place is cool, service professional though a bit surly. Food is better than the normal Indian restaurant in terms of choice and preparation. My Chicken spinach dish had an excellent sauce and reasonable meat. My partners Lamb was far too chewy and she left it. I am always disappointed that Indian restaurants struggle getting Lamb tender. This place purports to be top class. However with meat like this it fails to be. Therefore wouldnt return in a hurry. Shame.

Came here doing a tour of the "Good Beer Guide" pubs in Lancashire. Excellent pint of well kept Thwaites Nutty Black and Cumberland sausage/mash to die for - thoroughly recommended.
