the sunday breast of chicken was very good

By far , the best roast dinner I have ever been served in any pub or restaurant . Can't wait to book again and try a different plate...my friend and I both went for the Brisket of Beef ...looking forward to the chicken or lamb options

Superb meal, Avocado gluten free toast, corn cake, salsa, poached egg, bacon and halloumi in gluten tempura batter. Absolutely delicious, very filling. Excellent attentive service enjoyed our visit. Very clean and would highly recommend. I did book!

Hello! myself & two friends had lunch at Planks this week. We all opted for the ‘ deli bowl’ . It was absolutely delicious. We all agreed that it was excellent value & seemed like a healthy option, plenty of greens, amazing flavours & no stodgy bread! We went on to eat equally delicious cake with our coffee. We had lunch yesterday and as always, it was fantastic. The service is friendly and efficient and the restaurant is comfortable. The menu may be on the smallest side but the specials look delicious. I had my usual, salt and pepper chicken burger, which is so tasty . I’m going back for Sunday lunch this weekend… can’t wait!!

Superb food - consistently. Staff are really friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Smashed avocado on sourdough is the best around. Gets busy at weekends so make sure you book.

We had an absolutely lovely time, the food and drinks were delicious. All the staff were so polite, friendly and very efficient. We will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely incredible place, we love coming here and are somewhat regulars! We particularly love the full English - it's definitely the best we've found - and the langoustine tails on the lunch menu are awesome too. Fab service, great atmosphere - what more could you want!

My husband and I both had a full English breakfast and it was delicious. My husband is fussy over sausages and tends to leave them but he ate them all up and thought they were amazing! It was presented really nice too with warm and friendly staff which makes a huge difference. Lovely furnishings and extremely clean place to eat. Can't wait to visit again and will be suggesting to friends to visit too. .
