Crumb – DumfriesThe restaurant had a nice atmosphere, was clean and comfortable. Friday night, table booked for 6 30pm but and the cook had already run out of our choice meals, and the mojito. The cook (definitely not a chef) didn't inform his staff about his mistake, that he'd obviously miscalculated the food needed that night. The only hot vegetarian choices left we're chillie burgers, sausages or chickpea curry....which resembled a gravy/sauce with a few chickpeas. I opted for the disappointing haddock & chips, that practically slid off my plate along with its token salad garnish. The bar assistant and table waitresses were lovely. I felt really embarrassed for the waitress who had to keep coming back and tell me they'd run out of the meals I wanted. That night I felt really ill, so it affected my sleep. Unless this restaurant gets a chef I doubt we'll return.
Ravelston House – EdinburghMe and 5 friends had a meal on the 14th it was absolutely amazingly. We had the express menu everyones meal was pipping hot not one complaint And generous portions .
Ravelston House – EdinburghEnjoyable meal. Always find restaurant so noisy unfortunately. You can hardly hear yourself think with the noise from other diners sometimes. They could do with lining the walls to stop the sound travelling round the restaurant. Felt this time we were hurried out a bit too.
Crumb – DumfriesThe three main courses and starter were fine. The sundae (which I had) was not very good and negative comments were made by the others regarding the crumble topping. The service could have been a little better too. I had to go up to the bar to get someone to come and take the sweet order. I have been to the Ravelston twice before and on both occasions I feel that the food and the service were better.
Ravelston House – EdinburghMy husband and I were looking for a place to have lunch and are we glad we picked Crumb!! The menu choice was amazing, could have spent all day choosing as their was so many good options. We went for a burger and the fajita wrap. First of all the chips, perfect! The burger, delicious. The wrap, beautiful. They offer a selection of sauces and we made the most of them, trying them all. Every sauce was outstanding but out favourite was the jalapeño ranch, unreal. We also decided to get a side of the chicken wings and again they didn't disappoint. Saucy, succulent and tasty. Really enjoyed our lunch and we can't wait to come back! Phenomenal!!
Crumb – DumfriesFirst visit to Crumb after finding it on Trip Advisor. Had a table booked for 8pm but we were 40 mins early, which wasn’t a problem for the staff. There is a good varied menu, which should cover all tastes. Due to Covid and the fact we were the last cover, there were a few things on the menu that i picked that weren’t available, however it was way to pick something else off the menu. When it came to pay we were given a 10% discount due to that our original choices weren’t available, which was a nice touch. Overall a lovely restaurant, nice staff and great food, would certainly recommend. ,
Crumb – DumfriesFirst timers for the boozy brunch! Super brunch menu, Scottish eggs benedict were lovely, tasty and beautifully presented. The breakfast buttys were HUGE! Nice choice of cocktails, all were very tasty! A real treat to start a great day!
Crumb – DumfriesCame Saturday at 5.45 service very quick food fine but nothing special disappointed in frozen chips felt in was quite dear for fish and chips. Much preferred when I was here for lunch better value
Ravelston House – EdinburghOut for birthday dinner and glad I booked here to come! Live band was on in the bar area. Food was fast and delicious, and the girl with the red hair who was serving us was lovely!!
Ravelston House – EdinburghWe love crumb. It’s our fave restaurant in town. We ordered the Hawaiian steak and the portion sizes are insane. Dean is a brandy man and they ran out of the one he was ordering so the chef gave him the most expensive on the house. Which Dean very much appreciated. They made ingredients to go into my cocktail. The food itself is amazing. The steak was full of flavors. And we loved the crumb sauce. Service was fab. And we used our nhs discount. Enjoyed our date night and what was our engagement dinner as we hadn’t had the chance to celebrate it with a date night. 100% recommend.
Crumb – DumfriesBooked table for 5.15 for a Wednesday afternoon. Arrived and not a soul in restaurant. Eventually shown to a table in dingy corner beside the bar. Crumbs on table clearly proof that table had not been cleaned beforehand, and food on floor indicated floor had not been cleaned for some time. Other folk arriving afterwards who had obviously not booked given nicer tables near window. Service slow but food good enough. Would have thought opening of Ship Inn would have raised standards.
Ravelston House – EdinburghFriendly staff and quick service ,highly recommend the chicken fajita ,lovey and spicey. All round a very nice meal .
Crumb – DumfriesGroup is in for friends birthday. Terrible service. Staff had bad attitudes , really bad service , food average Deffo not return
Ravelston House – EdinburghTremendous meal with my wife and child. Spring rolls and haggis fritters for starters and fish and chips and macaroni for mains. All were really well presented and huge portions. Great value for money.
Ravelston House – EdinburghAmazing restaurant in Glasgow. Absolutely packed all night so you know its good. Food was gorgeous and the owner and staff very friendly and helpful.
Battlefield Rest – GlasgowWe had a delicious meal and a lovely time at crumb. The staff are really lovely and so friendly. The menu is so good it’s hard to choose. In the end we had scallops with polenta and calamari for starters, which were both cooked superbly. The polenta so creamy and the scallops just right. For mains we had wild boar pappardelle- rich and herby and mouth-wateringly good. The cod in a creamy sauce with bacon and peas was also fab and the cod was so fresh and seasoned/cooked perfectly. We were only here for one day but if we lived here this would be a regular for us.
Crumb – Dumfries2 courses for £16. Available Monday to Friday until 7pm.
