Lovely xmas meal staff friendly and had a nice atmosphere

Once again a fantastic meal at Crumb. The chef/owner even came out to wish my partner a happy birthday, because I had mentioned it in the online booking. I have marked down slightly for Atmosphere, but that's only because of the lads on a Xmas night out. They weren't drunk or offensive just a wee bit loud. Already looking forward to our next meal here.

Great family dinner on Christmas Eve.

Had dinner yesterday with the family. Service was good. Starters were OK, bit over priced for quantity. Main meals, everyone enjoyed apart from vegetable/chips could have been cooked longer . Range of desserts limited. Nice ambiance. Would return.

Food was OK. A bit dry but I just got chicken wrap with chips.

Superb meal once again. Staff as always very attentive and helpful. Have been eating in the Ravelston for over thirty years and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal.

Managed a get together with 3 friends and had a lovely meal. Food and service was superb and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Room was bit noisy however it was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves

Had the roast of the day which was beef and really good! Had a trifle dessert after and this was just as good, really enjoyed our meal, thank you. The service is always excellent!

Crumb is a delight. We encountered it wholly by accident, but now that I have dined there I will happily drive out of my way to dine there again. The chef/owner is an artist whose flavor palette is sublime. The staff are excellent, the ambience is of understated elegance, and the prices are low for the quality of the meals.

Excellent as always. Staff are brilliant in Crumb. Can't find anything to criticise. The food was gorgeous and service great. Still my favourite I. Dumfries.

Staff who served us were friendly & courteous. Background music was eventually switched on. Food was okay tastewise but quite expensive for what it was - starter of haggis bonbons, received 2 small haggis balls & 1 small cube potato with a little sauce for around £6.75 Steak pie wasn't really pie, stew with very thin slice of pastry, vegetables were very oily, this was over £13. I did send this information to the contact details online for attention of the manager but didn't get a reply.

Went last night for a meal and it was beautiful. Never been disappointed with the food there. Service from our waitress was amazing. She was very friendly and very hands on.

Excellent meal for my mums birthday then a nice surprise with the live band!

Visited Crumb with friends for a meal. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Any questions we had about the dishes were answered quickly and clearly which helped us make our choices. From the Corndug and Garlic mushroom starters to the Stromboli and Haggis chicken main courses and finished off with cocktails and Not Key Line Pie, it was all delicious. Will definitely be back.

The 3 of us enjoyed the haddock and chips which were well prepared and very tasty. We very much liked our time at the restaurant for my husband’s birthday.

Had booked a table and arrived 10 mins early (reservation at 5.45). Glad we did as we were told that "they had tried to contact us" to advise that they had a function taking place and, as the kitchen was busy, they wouldn't be taking orders from the restaurant until 6pm. I'm sorry but with a restaurant that had several tables of diners already patiently waiting we chose the option of leaving. Should have asked how they tried to contact me as they had my email/mobile and I had no texts/missed calls or emails. Won't be going back.
