Staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. tgs Food was great. When starters came out we were missing one plate that had been pre-ordered however the waitresses got it sorted right away and was apologetic however we completely understood these things happen, they done a great job at serving us especially for how busy the place was and starters tasted were amazing, as well as the mains (we do however feel the mains portion sizes were a little small but was worth it as quality was good. I would definitely come back and recommend as it is a lovely restaurant. I was able to bring in a cake and they brought it out as the meal was booked for my mums birthday which was nice as some places wont do that. We really appreciated our visit and service we received.

I had a very nice starter king prawns on bruschetta with sweet chili sauce love it. Then I had oklahoma chicken burger that wasn't as nice the chicken was dry and not very tastie. My wife had chicken strips which I tried 1 and they were very tastie too. Her main meal was lasagne and she love it.

Chose here for the proximity to King's Theatre as going for a girly night to see the Bodyguard. Just a very short walk away. Staff were great, very attentive, food was lovely, hot, homemade and tasty. We each had a starter, main course and two drinks each and I believe this was great value for money in the middle of Glasgow. I would go again if in the area and also recommend, pate delicious.

There was 4 off us went before going to theatre. Everyone off us enjoyed everything about our meal. Waiter who served us was really good. And also fun. Only one small criticism. Was waiter who took our drinks order forgot our drinks a couple off times. But to be fair. The place was busy.

This was our second visit to the Golden Lion, food and staff were great on both occasions, we will definitely be back. The only gripe we have is if you want to leave a gratuity for the staff you can't add it to the bill when you pay by card.

I booked a table on line for Wednesday 4th January and received confirmation of my booking only to turn up to find the Ravelston was completely shut. We then had to find another restaurant to go to for dinner. Surely if you are closed then customers should not be able to book a table. We have used the restaurant on several occasions as take my very elderly father out for dinner every Wednesday so was very disappointed .
