Great meal, great service, great atmosphere. Excellent friendly staff

3 ladies for a birthday lunch..baked cod, salmon and mince and dumplings...absolutely delicious. Lovely spacious, airy place. Staff lovely !

The staff here are so welcoming and hard working it is hard to describe adequately. The food is excellently prepared and the choice good. Don’t want to say too much as I might encourage you to come and then you might make it difficult for me to get in. It’s very popular already. Brilliant service, food, ambience.

A friend told us about the Harbour Lights and how great it was. We eat out regular so thought we'd give it a try. Told booking was recommended so booked for A Saturday morning. Arrived early but wasn't a problem. I got the belly buster breakfast and it didn't disappoint . Was actually the best breakfast av had in a while and cheaper than most recent ones I've had. Other half got the kippers and poached eggs which again cooked to perfection. View of Harbour out window was fantastic. It for us is a 40min drive and plenty to try in-between here and there, but if down there in future we will definitely go back . Couldn't fault it for price, quality of food and service.

The veg and roast potatoes were all fresh and very tasty, we also had the feathered beef which you got a good helping and very tender but I think when we go back we'll probably go for the chicken or pork . The service is excellent, the staff are all friendly and happy to help even though they are working none stop . It's a lovely place to go for lunch any day of the week

Both really enjoyed our meals, the venue is spotless with tables cleared and CLEANED as soon as customers have left. Staff really helpful and pleasant making the whole experience a pleasure. We will be back.

Best meal we’ve had in a long time. Superb fish menu to choose from and the halibut was delicious and such good value. Excellent service too so already booked again

We booked a table for 5 on a weekday early sitting. Table was reserved and ready when we arrived. The starter (black pudding with belly pork) was excellent, All 5 of us had different main meals and each meal arrived piping hot and well cooked, tasty and generous portions. Two of our guests had arrived from Italy and were blown away be the choices available and quality of food. Service was excellent, The only gripe was the espresso coffee wasn't Italian standard ! Great to see some old faces again.

Always top class food here and service to match. Had friends visiting from Morpeth and it was their first time at Harbour Lights and were very impressed with the food and said the portions were much bigger then they got at home

Visited for the first time and was very impressed with the quality of food and the service. Great selection of fish dishes all freshly cooked. The staff were all very friendly and the service very efficient. I would certainly return.

Was disappointed last time I ate a roast at harbour lights the high light of the meal was the Yorkshire puddings they were light and crispy fluffy in the middle. This time the Yorkshire was cold and stodgy the veg was over cooked and had lost its colour. It was my daughter's birthday and all she wanted was a nice roast such a shame.

Yet again wonderful visit to the harbour lights, couldn't recommend it highly enough. The food is fabulous with do much choice, the quality is second to none. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful people anywhere. It's not the first meal there and it certainly won't be the last. Thank you Jan and Michael for always making us welcome. See you soon
