The food and service was excellent

This place just gets better. I brought a friend who does not live local and she was over the moon and said she wished she had a place like this close to her. I would have no hesitation in recommending harbour lights to anyone. Well done team keep it up.

Superb as usual..

First Sunday lunch since moving back to Shields and it did nt disappoint . Lovely meal. Lots of veg and the best gravy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Also bought myself a take away roast dinner for following evening . We will be back .

I challenge you to find a better Sunday lunch in South Shields. Their beef brisket just melts, or if you like your meat pink then the rump cut does not disappoint. The portions are generous and lunch is served with mixed vegetables, cauliflower cheese, mushy peas and thick gravy. The staff are friendly and the service is efficient. They have a good dessert selection if you’ve still got room in your sweet tummy. Excellent value for money too.

The pizza was delicious for ky son. I am gluten free and there was nothing in the new menu stating anything was gf. I did ask at the bar and the options were limited but I ate a small starter. The previous menu was much better, service was a little slow, waiting on our last dish when others had been eaten It’s a lovely place, great vibe. Good food for others

10 of us for lunch. We've been many times and every time the food has been delicious. Staff are brilliant, very friendly and service is great.

Yesterday my friend and I had hunters chicken, he had unseasoned fries and I habit with chips, salad and slaw, the portions were satisfying and delicious.

The staff here are so welcoming and hard working it is hard to describe adequately. The food is excellently prepared and the choice good. Don’t want to say too much as I might encourage you to come and then you might make it difficult for me to get in. It’s very popular already. Brilliant service, food, ambience.

A friend told us about the Harbour Lights and how great it was. We eat out regular so thought we'd give it a try. Told booking was recommended so booked for A Saturday morning. Arrived early but wasn't a problem. I got the belly buster breakfast and it didn't disappoint . Was actually the best breakfast av had in a while and cheaper than most recent ones I've had. Other half got the kippers and poached eggs which again cooked to perfection. View of Harbour out window was fantastic. It for us is a 40min drive and plenty to try in-between here and there, but if down there in future we will definitely go back . Couldn't fault it for price, quality of food and service.
