Not what we were expecting... the website is very mis leading... it is a simple cafe, with a view of the parking lot and the service / food is average.

The food and service were excellent. We sat in the marquee which provided very good cover if it had been raining. The only disappointment was the milkshake. It came in a can and was very runny, more like flavoured milk. There was no ice cream in it, as there should be in a milkshake, and it is the first time I have ever seen a milkshake in a can. I think you need to change the description of this item on your menu, three of us had milkshakes and we were all very disappointed.

We had a birthday lunch and the food was really nice and the service was excellent. We sat under the marquee which was great, however the seating is very uncomfortable, my mother really needed a chair with a back. The tables need attention too as they are very worn. However we enjoyed our lunch and would visit again. The table service was excellent.

Had a coffee break before a walk then back for lunch. Unfortunately the coffee was not good, not from an espresso machine at espresso prices. After the experience we were somewhat wary about lunch, but seeing what people were eating we decided to go for it. The food came and was hot and tasty one fish and chips ( nice brown colour) and a steak pie that actually came to me as a chicken and ham pie but after cutting it open and seeing the amount of meat inside I decided to try it, it was excellent so nothing was said. Wine by the glass was reasonabley priced and tasty but that was expected considering where we were sat. Would we go back, not for a coffee, but yes for a main meal or snack.

First visit to Denbies and the marque provided good cover from the heavy rainstorms however unfortunately our order got lost, the hot drinks when they arrived had to be sent back because they were luke warm and the food was ok. The manager deducted the price of the drinks from the bill due to the order getting lost and was very apologetic but we were overall disappointed. Our first meal out post covid and it was not what we had hoped for. Think we were just unlucky today.

Had an absolutely cracking day at Denbies to celebrate my birthday, which was made all the better I have to say by the delicious food (great veggie options & plenty of it!) and the majority of Denbies wines on offer (we did our wine tasting this way since it isn't available at the moment inside and it was a great laugh!) And I cannot forget about the amazing service - really super friendly and helpful staff! Was really great to get out and enjoy ourselves after such a crazy year and I would massively recommend booking The Hatch for a spectacular day out - Thanks Team!

Food was great, nice options, reasonable price. We were able to sit under cover but bench was so cold to sit on! Also area round table and access despite best efforts with matting was very muddy. Wasn't a place to linger on a wet day. Look forward to going inside again. Staff lovely and efficient.

Good food and friendly service. The Redland wine was especially enjoyable, and took our minds off the rain which poured continuously during our meal.

70th birthday... excellent service. Meal cooked perfectly. Staff were spot on!

Had a couple of really lovely lunches this week at the Hatch, really lovely attentive staff and great to be able to book somewhere to sit out of the rain, they have really tried hard to make this area work until everything opens up.

I held a small informal meeting at Hatch ion the lawn at Denbies. It was well organised, extremely pleasant staff and I felt perfectly safe. To top it all the food was delicious.

The limited menu was good as was the service ,but the seating was rather uncomfortable.

One of your older wait staff was very rude to our group. She pushed us to order before we were ready (half the group had literally just arrived and not sat down). We asked for me time and then second time ordered drinks which she replied we only had an hour 15mins to eat. Even though there were empty tables. She then did not return to take our order. And we had to ask a different wait staff to help us. After 1 hour 15 minutes no one informed us we had to leave. Quite frankly her attitude towards our group was that we were inconveniencing her. Disappointed. But the other younger staff were very helpful.

Went for lunch with my brother and sister. Friendly, quick service, with tasty food, but relatively small portion sizes for the price - we had 2 platters (meat and cheese) along with a mozarrella & tomato panini. "Warm artisanal breads" turned out to be 4 bread rolls. Bottle of Rose was delicious however. Shame that the outdoor seating area is between the building and the car park, especially when the grounds themselves are so beautiful.

Table for 3 - We were lucky with a short notice booking on Saturday aternoon, really happy with everything we recd, meat pie, beef sandwich and a panini (?) with just the right amount of chips and great tasting coleslaw. Originally we were seated outside of the marquee, a 'no show' meant we were able to sit inside, which was much appreciated - great staff.

We went for lunch on Thursday & we had pre booked a table that morning no problem. We had arrived early but welcomed in & told where to sign in. Service was very good & the food we had was too. We will be back to try the fish & chips. Thanks for your hospitality.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch. Fantastic , friendly service and very good food. It was a little unfortunate that it was such a chilly day b it Weill definitely visit again and would recommend to friends and family.

Had a lovely lunch catching up with a friend. We were not rushed. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Will be back! I think the tent could be more decorative and welcoming.
