We were really looking forward to visiting the Smokey Cow as it had been recommended to us and it was our first time there. However, we left feeling a little disappointed. We had all read the menu in advance and were looking forward to ordering either their signature pies or the brisket. When we came to order we were told, quit casually, that there were no pies or brisket left. The waitress said that we should have been told when we arrived that they had sold out but this hadn’t been the case. Overall the service was ok and the food we ended up ordering was decent quality, just a really poor experience considering it was a Saturday night and our table was at 7pm so not that late. We would have expected that they had more than enough pies and brisket to serve the tables who had booked in advance as these are their signature meals. We had travelled from Perton and Sedgley to try the place out which isn’t amazingly close by. Such a shame.

Food was OK. Didn't realise there was going to be live music. The music was good but it was very loud and difficult to have a conversation. Service was very slow. Door was left open so smoke from smoking area just outside was blowing inside which wasn't great.

Table was booked a few weeks in advance for a 2pm Sunday lunch. Table was not ready when we arrived eventually we were seated and after half an hour still no service! After getting someone attention we were then told two meats off the menu and they said it was chefs fault! The meals came not piping hot no stuffing which was ordered as an extra by the time-we could draw someone attention we had almost finished and told stuffing had run out and waiter forgot to tell us.!

Food was great, service was a little slow but we wasn't in a rush so it wasn't an issue. We were only given the Sunday lunch menu, we had to ask about other menu, The staff were lovely and training a new lady so completely understood the slow timing.

Absolutely Amazing food beats Harleys/ Hickory Never going anywhere else for a bbq food again. Everyone who loves Bbq meals needs to try Smokey Cows. 10/10

Food was delicious, however was just warm and location is great, just poor service waited an hour for food and the restaurant was not full.

After reading the reviews, I thought we would be in for a good evening but alas that was not the case. Although we were warned there would be a delay on our food due to a large party, it took just over an hour to get ours. Having said that when it did finally arrive, the food was good, albeit the fries were luke warm. I also thought it was quite expensive for what we got. However, the staff were quite attentive during our wait offering to replenish drinks. Because of the other party, the noise level was very loud and you couldn't hear what our party were trying to say to each other. The chairs were also very uncomfortable. All in all, not a great night and we won't be returning.

Great food lovely people who go out of their way to help. Really good experience would visit again and recommend. Would suggest having sauces on the table you see commonly at smoke houses. This would really make a difference

Absolutely lovely food. Very busy so food too awhile however service was great throughout. Apologetic and offered free drinks for the wait. Cant fault the staff, such a lovely place with wonderful staff. And honestly amazing food!!!

What an amazing evening we had, seated my friendly staff near the kitchen and we were getting food envy instantly. We chose the Pitmaster for two and it was delicious, we didn’t think we would finish it as we also ordered 3 sides for £10 but we pretty much did - so good much better than other companies we’ve had similar food from. Our 8yr old went for 3 courses for £9.95 and he said it was all delicious and the pigs in blankets for his starter was amazing the size of them & taste. The drinks were reasonable and very nice selection. I had the banana split for dessert and its the best dessert I’ve had in years. We weren't aware live music was on every friday evening & last nights was so good. Megan Tia what a surprise, her voice was fab and we loved her setlist - ending up staying never 3 hours for our evening. We cant wait to go back and try their sunday lunch now!

Had another excellent meal at the weekend. Been here several times and the food never disappoints. Staff are very attentive and service is to a high standard, but see my one gripe at the end. The location is in a very quiet village so sitting outside on a fine day is very pleasant. There is a play area for the kids and plenty of parking. The whole pub, inside and out, welcomes dogs so you can bring the whole family and, being rural, there are plenty of walks for Fido. If you have not been before or, if you haven't been since its time as The Seven Stars, then I recommend you pay a visit. Booking a table on the website is really easy and can be done just before you plan to visit so don't worry if it's a last minute decision. Now the gripe; I've not noticed this before so maybe I've tipped the staff with cash. I asked to add the tip by adding it to the credit card payment and was told that they didn't do that. Instead I was given a barcode that linked to a website called Tipjar. This means that to tip the staff I have to pay a fee to a third party. In my opinion, whoever thought this was a good idea is out of their tree. I want the whole tip to go to the staff not be shared with some company that merely provides a tipping service. I eat out a lot and I don't know any other business that uses Tipjar. If anything, the tipping options are preset in the credit card terminal for me to accept or reject. Tipjar can only reduce the amount of the tip sent to the server as it is adjusted to account for the fee. I won't be using the service again. Do your staff a favour and dump this service. Rant over.

Absolutely great food again. Only visited twice now but will definitely be many more, need to go through the menu.

Great comms with the Smokey Cow team before our visit and a great experience on the day - 10 of us had lunch before a work site visit nearby and it was spot on. Friendly and helpful staff catered for all our food requirements and we will be going back.

Omg what a gorgeous little pub, hidden down the lanes, lovely modern and bright interior. Lovely welcome from the staff. The food well where do I start absolutely amazing, portion sizes are big. Starters are like mains, mains amazing, didn't have deserts as couldn't eat anything else. Staff so polite, will definitely be back soon..5*++++
