Booked the Golden Ball as its convenient to where we were staying, and just like last year we werent disappointed. Good menu, food was presented well and very tasty. Service was great and we had a lovely time.

Great little cosy pub/restaurant . Food was lovely and the staff were friendly.

After a lengthy wait for our food,1hr 10 mins,it was well worth the wait, and the food was great,filling and full of flavour. Maybe they were short of staff on this evening.

We visited the Golden Ball Inn for the first time on Friday 4 July. First impression was a beautiful building, with a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu is diverse and tempting, and the food is wonderful. Prices are also very reasonable. If you want an evening in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, then you can't go wrong visiting the Golden Ball Inn. We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Perfect place for our group to enjoy some informal smokehouse fare. Lovely atmosphere and the food hit the spot, was a pleasant surprise to find something so close to our remote accomodation!

We came a couple years back for my birthday and had food off the main menu which was superb and we have been wanting to come back. We finally got round to visiting on a Sunday and I had the smoked brisket roast dinner. Can honestly say it was the best roast I have ever had from a pub/restaurant. Generous portions, tasted fantastic and good value for money. The waitress was lovely and the atmosphere was really calm and enjoyable. The music being played was just an added bonus as it was a Luke Combes playlist who is my fave singer. 10/10 if I could score higher I would. Thank you very much

Visited on Father’s Day and booked in at last minute. Food was great, pub was comfortable and service was good. If we are in the area again would definitely come back. Dog also enjoyed his special dinner as well.

The whole experience was not as I remember it to be. Part of pub is shut off. The was again not what it used to be. The sizzler wasn’t sizzling and tasted like they’d used a jar sauce.

Amazing food Friendly staff Great meal out with me dad for Father’s Day Was a long wait for food but staff did let us know that that would be the case. Absolutely worth the wait though, and was glad as it let my food go down a bit even then I didn’t finish my portion but the staff kindly brought me a box out. We had the buffalo wings, teriyaki pig bites, reg mac and cheese and the mother clucker burger. The southern fried chicken on that was outstanding. Will definitely be back. 10/10

Being new to the area I thought I would try The Smokey Cow with my family, upon arrival we were informed there was a 30 minute delay due to waiting for another chef. Our table was booked for 2pm and it was 4:10 before we even started to eat. The food was nice but I think there should have been some sort of discount for the extremely long wait as this tainted our experience. By the time we ate we were all restless and just wanted to leave, hopefully just a one off as the food was nice.

Delicious food but very slow service. Table booked for 13:30 and starters (nachos) brought to the table after just over an hour. Mains were a further half an hour so it had gone 15:00 when we eventually ate. Wouldn’t have minded if the waiting time had been mentioned or acknowledged.

Its our local and used to eat there weekly when the menu was better, more pub grub! But I was very disappointed, not only with the choice of food but the quality. The chips were brown to burnt; the mash potato heated so that a tough inedible skin had formed; no pineapple for the gammon; pork not crisp as requested. Such a shame. The waitress worked her socks off, trying to serve over 25 people; more staff needed. Done tables waited over 45 mins for food.

A real hidden gem within beckbury. Great food and great service we were early but staff gladly seated us. Price point is just right and quality of meats are second to none. If I could change anything I would have had maybe quiet music on in the background. Given it was 1;30 on a Saturday there were only 3 other tables and it felt slightly silent at points. Doesn't take away from the excellent all round service and food.

Nice choice of food, something for everyone. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Whe food arrived, very tasty and no real complaints. Some people were having pizzas that looked quite tasty

The service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming, the best Sunday dinner we've had from a pub ,the brisket was to die for.the atmosphere was great everyone was friendly we think it was great value for money would definitely go there again for food. Highly recommended.
