Really enjoyed our meal at site, good service and great food

First visit and won't be our last. Lovely pub with a good outside seating space. Ideal to soak in the lovely outstanding views! Served by lovely staff who took an interest and was very attentive. Food was brilliant too. Well cooked and presented. The place got really busy too.

Hello. My friend and I went up to the Shepherd's on the 1st August and throughly enjoyed our meals. We were able to sit outside in their beer garden as it was a beautiful early evening and look out over the amazing views over Todmorden and Hebden Bridge and beyond. The food was fantastic as it always has been since the new owners took over the pub. I made the mistake of not specifying that we wanted our cheesy garlic bread as a starter and it was unfortunately served with our main meals, so no blame aimed at the bar staff on that front. The pub is one of our go too places for food, beer and amazing settings.

We’ve been a few times now, lovely as always.

I had Saturday lunch with my Mother and Sister. I had booked a table for 12.30. We were initially given a table inside but when I asked if we could sit by the window the waitress very kindly rearranged things so we could. Our drinks and food order was taken quickly and drinks brought straight away but our food took about an hour. Not sure if our order was misplaced but others coming after us got served first. The waitress was reassuring that it would be with us and continued to apologise for the delay. Our food was delicious, 2 ham hock terrine and a brisket baguette with a side of chips, we all thoroughly enjoyed our food, but the delay really wasn't acceptable. I have had this previously when ordering pies, they take an age and the staff tell you this, I don't quite understand why. I will be back because the food, service & location are all so very good. l will stress our previous issues and hope it doesn't happen again. The kitchen need help or to work more efficiently.

What a lovely and isolated country pub serving amazing food with incredible views. We were here yesterday on our last leg of bike packing around the Mary Townley loop ( the pub is literally on the route! ). The food and atmosphere were outstanding and the staff were attentive and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful to a couple of weary bikers. Highly recommend and will definitely make another visit if we ever get around to doing the loop again but this time on horseback.

Only been for Sunday Lunch. It’s always amazing & tasty. The staff are very friendly and accommodating Would highly recommend.

The food is amazing and to go with that the staff are amazing. Everything is cooked fresh. Cannot fault this place

Loved our team at shepards rest we come very often the staff are very friendly engaging with customers and our dog who we bring and love The food was lovely hot presented well We will be back again soon as we find it be one of our faviout restartuarrants

The venue has a cool boutique feel and the hosts create a calm and friendly atmosphere with excellent service. The food is brilliant - particularly the pizzas for me personally. The cocktails are strong and very good. Prices are reasonable which makes the whole experience excellent value for money. We have been several times now and try to go every time we are in Todmorden. It especially helps before a night out at The Golden Lion!

We booked Site for our parents 60th wedding anniversary celebrations on Friday 12th July 2024. Everything about the evening was absolutely wonderful....food, service, atmosphere, we couldn't have asked for more. A special Tirmasu was made for our parents as a anniversary cake for us all to enjoy. Site is highly recommended for any occasion. Perfect. We can't thank Lou and team enough for making our celebration so special!

Our second visit here as the food was so good we had to come back. The quality is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable too. Topped off with an amazing view and friendly staff.

Me and my boyfriend had a meal at Site on a friday evening, it was a lovely atmosphere very lovely venue and it looked very classy! the food was absolutely amazing and amazing for the money. The cocktails were also delicious loved them! Additionally all the staff were so friendly and helpful I 100% recommend!!!

Amazing food and service as always !! I was delighted to see that my all time fave Site pizza - spiced sweet potato with gorgonzola was on the specials menu after a long absence and Matt certainly did it proud 11/10 !! Special mention to the lovely Jess who has been a fab manager over the last few years - glad that we got to be there on her last wkd , and for her tasty cheesecake - she will be missed .

Visited at lunch time with 4 adults and 2 children. The food was excellent but let down by a lack of atmosphere and slow service. We were served by 4 different members of staff one of which was defensive and dismissive failing to create a friendly atmosphere. Food 5* but won’t be in a hurry to return.

An excellent evening - good quality food, cooked with attention to detail, friendly service. Oh and desserts to die for! We hope to return when we next visit Calderdale.
