Thoroughly enjoyable evening and service excellent. Food perfect, I love the cheese and onion pie. Portion size, spot on. Too much food on my husband’s plate puts him off. He ate everything and loved the different flavours offered.

Can recommend the Cheese and Onion Pie, delicious and the pastry sublime. Shepherds Pie was very tasty and cooked to perfection too. Would definitely return in the future. I didn’t think to ask if I could have different vegetables with the C&O pie but would do next time. You won’t be disappointed if you choose stop to eat here and as I was out of my area I booked the table online. Very easy to do. Thank you all.

Friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere and the added bonus of the views of the local countryside! A great place to stop after a walk in the hills for a pint and some food. Would definitely recommend.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenOur first time here and we will definitely be back! We went up to Gaddings Dam first and then came to the pub in the dog friendly section with our German shepherd. We both had the small plate fish and chips with mushy peas as it was only lunch time and it was perfect - absolutely delicious. We were even given some treats for our dog Lovely service in a beautiful setting with delicious food

The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenAfter a couple of hours roaming the hils and the "beach" The Shepards Rest Inn was a welcome stop. We booked ahead ( highly recommended) and were greated by friendly, welcoming staff at the bar and in the restuarant. The daily roast lunch was perfect with a big fluffy yourkshire pudding, so too was the fish and chips my parther had. The meals were generous and great value for money great food , welcoming staff and a cosy place for a couple of pints, we'll be back!
