Excited to see the student’s in the restaurant which is what it should be all about. However, it wasn’t brilliant with a bit more work needing to be done on the attention to the customer by the waiting on staff. We were left too long between courses, however, the food was very nice and served hot and very well presented. We were then left for ages where some of the party had to miss one of the courses, plus the tea and coffee wasn’t offered. We will be back as it’s all about the training and learning from each customer they serve, so will look forward to a slicker service and more confidence from the waiting on staff. We are booked back in as we loved the food and for £6/8 , it’s a winner!

Soup could’ve been hotter and the rolls didn’t seem to be handmade. I think our wine waiter was a little unsure of what was on offer – That’s easily rectified! It would have been fun if the crêpe suzette had been made alongside our table – That’s always a treat. I really enjoyed our lunch And will certainly come again

Student take over - 6 for lunch, beautifully presented delicious food. Desert plate could have been warmed to keep our crepe suzette hot and a bottle of red wine was immediately emptied into 3 glasses, it was the students first time in pouring wine to be fair, otherwise a faultless service. Will definitely be going back. Very good. Da iawn

Excellent, light and airy venue. Six of us had a three course Christmas meal which was beautifully presented, of a high quality with brilliant service. We will definitely be back to try out the other menu choices.

Lovely food in a nice setting with good service. As a vegetarian having the Christmas menu, I was pleasantly surprised - the mushroom and nut roast was beautiful. I will be back again.

Second visit to the new venue but long time supporter of it as a "student restaurant" in the past before the switch to a more commercial restaurant. Once again a great venue for our work xmas lunch, 11 of us had plentiful service and good food and a fair price. The venue is really nice since the new building and I fully support. If I was to critique, the soup was a little flavourless and needed bread. The main courses and dessert were really excellent. Outside of xmas I do wish the lunchtime menu hit the note better for popping out for an office lunch, I am not sure "contemporary lunch" hits the need for me but hopefully does for others. I will be back soon.

Excellent venue, food was fantastic, staff extremely attentive, everyone in the my party of 7 had an excellent afternoon/evening. I would highly recommend - Thank you!!
