Delicious Sunday roasts enjoyed by the whole family. Would definitely recommend!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe chose the surf and turf ( fillet of steak and half a lobster) it's not cheap but after eating it, it was well worth the money it was delicious and we would highly recommend it. Booked in again for Sunday lunch this week as we went a few weeks ago and that was amazing too.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFamily meal with the BEST burgers (Anglesey) they’ve ever had! Rapid service considering how busy the venue was. My veggie salad was nicely prepared and drowned in a sugary balsamic dressing, I’ve had worse.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWhat a lovely place, with generous portions of excellent food and a happy relaxed atmosphere.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat food. Reasonable prices. Friendly bar staff. Quick service. Can get busy, so we book online. Beer garden and play area for kids. Have been coming here for the last 3 years. Our first choice for a lovely meal out when visiting Barmouth.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthAs a coeliac, it was great to find a restaurant where asking for gluten free was not a problem. Plenty of gf options, staff very knowledgeable and food was delicious. In fact, service all round was excellent from start to finish - warm, cheerful and efficient. Smart, comfortable interior. Highly reccomended.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogHad lovely meal owner and staff very pleasant and attentive
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe have eaten at The Victoria twice recently. Once for Sunday lunch and then last night we had an evening meal with friends. We all enjoyed our food which was of a very high standard and was presented beautifully! The drinks, atmosphere and service was great too. Highly recommended but make sure you book as it gets busy!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthInitially concerned how busy the place was (Saturday night on a bank holiday weekend) and I had to ask if it was table service or whether I ordered at the bar because it took a while before we saw a server; however, after that they did a good job of setting expectations on how long it might be before we got our food, and in the end we did not wait too long. Food was pretty good (steak pie x 2, lentil/spinach curry, lentil/spinach burger) and while maybe not the cheapest it is what we have come to expect to pay when eating out in Llangollen. All in all, given how busy the place was, I would say they did a good job.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenAnother delicious meal. Service very good. Early bird menu excellent value I am lactose intolerant and they were very careful to cater for my needs. Highly recommended
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLovely food and excellent attentive and polite staff. Enlli in particular was so lovely. Wonderful menu choices generally but only one vegetarian starter and main which was disappointing for my husband. Excellent quality and presentation overall.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe travel from Kent to a meeting in Porthmadog and got recommended to your restaurant, the food was beautiful, highly recommend you.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogRecommended by our B&B owner. Very good meal and service. Would recommend
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogBrought the family for lunch and they all thought it was terrific. Had a lovely time and were very well looked after. Six clear plates! Thank you as ever to everyone.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenCame here on the recommendation of our Airbnb host whilst on a recent visit to Beddgelert. Food was delicious. Service was spot on. Will return for sure if we are ever in the area again
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThis is our third visit in a few years, we’ve never had a Sunday roast here before and we weren’t disappointed, in fact, it’s the best roast we’ve had in years! Food was beautifully cooked, the meat melted in your mouth, we had the beef, pork and the lamb and it was all delicious. Plenty of gravy, amazing Yorkshire puddings and really lovely selection of fresh veg from the pub’s allotment. We were served very quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful despite being busy! We would recommend the Sunday roast but would advise you book! Parking can be tricky when the car park is full.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthThis is our 6th visit as ever it never disappoints.food excellent as was service. Atmosphere ‘bubbling’.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogY Sgwar is one of those rare restaurants that combines high quality food with an informal and very friendly ambience. The tightly run team provide great service with the ever present owner ensuring all have the best experience. The menu is full of tempting dishes with our only challenge being to decide which to choose. All were beautifully prepared and full of flavour. We were staying nearby and enjoyed our first evening there so much, we went back for second helpings. Highly recommended.
