As always really enjoyed our meal at the Sgwar the service excellent ,staff pleasent and very friendly well worth a visit you won"t be dissapointed

Great atmosphere, food brought out in good time and very tasty, we ordered slightly different from the menu and this was not a problem. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful gem of a pub in a spectacular location.

A really enjoyable evening

Once again a lovely meal ,, thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Lovely pleasant staff.

What a fabulous pub. Four of us on a mini golf tour were staying nearby and ate two nights running. Great food particularly the Anglesey Burger. Well worth a visit and would recommend booking a table because it gets very busy

Booked in advance for two people for my birthday. Booked a booth to sit at. Arrived at bar and told table was not ready. We would be called when it was cleared. After 30mins we asked again. We were taken to our table. It was obvious we had been forgotten. Although a booth was empty we were sat on a small table. Most of restaurant was empty. We asked about the booth, as we had asked in our booking. We were told someone else must have booked it. No-one sat in it during our meal. Then 4 people walked in and asked for a table and the same waiter gave them the booth. Meal was lovely but the experience was not.

Having been highly recommended we paid a visit to this restaurant and we found the staff very helpful, friendly and the food was lovely, you don’t mind paying a little extra for food when it’s cooked perfectly and served hot and fresh , great menu especially the puds … so many yummy ones to choose from . We went on a Tuesday night and it was full , we did book online tha same day but I think in the summer holidays you will need to book earlier, we will definitely be booking again. !

Took my parents here for Sunday Lunch. Who are both in their 80’s? All i can say is they thoroughly enjoyed it! Seriously good. Sunday dinner. It was a baking hot day so thank you to all the kitchen staff. Great job.

Lovely Sunday roast, couldn't manage it all but the dog was happy with the roast beef i brought back for him.

The food was outstanding! Best lamb I’ve ever eaten! The wine was also very good. We didn’t have to wait long for our food, everything was presented very nicely and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only negative was that during our meal our waiter didn’t come to ask if everything was ok and/or check if we wanted anything else. Overall we had a great meal and would highly recommend to others.

Best Sunday roast in the area

Superb meal! All five members of our party really enjoyed their choices! Really well cooked with and tasty with original use of flavours. Menu looks fairly standard, but the dishes were far from standard, with a lot of care taken to make each dish special. Thank you chef! Nice beer garden overlooking river.

One of the best meals, I've ever eaten! Scallops, belly pork and cauliflower puree,what a combination and the cod in coconut sauce was fabulous and both sets of fish were so fresh! The poen star martini were that good,bi had to have two!

Had a meal last night ordered the Curry which we have had numerous times before - very disappointed last night no almonds garnishing the dish very little sauce basically a dish of chicken chunks!! Poppadums tasted like it had been cooked for a week and the Rice was disgraceful Very disappointed
