The Victoria Inn – BarmouthAte here on Saturday night. It was pretty busy due to the concert. Food was ok but my curry came with no flatbread (which was included according to the menu). When I enquired where is was I was told they had run out (this should have been called out when I ordered surely…….where they even going to mention this at all. ) anyway I was advised that they could do me ciabatta instead, when I came it was just a cold ciabatta, not warmed / toasted, no butter ! In addition, we then ordered a 2nd round of drinks which we never received. When we had finished our food the server came over to ask if we had received our drinks (order was taken over half an hour earlier) and when we said no he didn’t even apologise, just walked away. The food we did get was nice, just a shame about the service.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenWe booked for 10 people. The communication was excellent and on arrival our table was ready. Great service and lovely food Would recommend
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenSuch lovely food and friendly staff. First night of our holiday and we managed to get a late table (8.30). The seabass was beautifully done, arrived quickly. The staff were fun and friendly. Diolch!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat very tasty food. Great vibe. 3 gorgeous courses and a glass only £50 Definitely the best locally
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThe restaurant was recommend by our host at a B&B nearby. We had an excellent meal that surpassed our expectations. Every course was excellent and the special for the day (grilled lobster with garlic butter) was just amazing as was the sticky toffee pudding! If you are in the Porthmadog area it’s worth a visit!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAmazing atmosphere and beautiful food, and the setting is gorgeous. Would recommend anyone to not miss this little Gem. Really good selection of food and really worth the menu pricing. Highly recommended 5 Stars!!!!!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthGreat food, quick service and pleasant staff. A very enjoyable experience. Don’t hesitate to visit, a decent menu for adults and children and the dogs get to go with you - brilliant thank you
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthBooked online to eat here before a concert & it was pretty busy. They were running the normal Main Menu alongside the Sunday Lunch Menu. Enjoyed our meals (scampi & chicken burger - proper chicken breast with bacon). Service was great. Nice ambience. 2nd visit & will definitely return. For info, noticed that there are lots of Gluten Free options on the main menu.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenHad a very tasty Sunday lunch … great service and surroundings!
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenGreat views, lovely decor and good atmosphere. Prompt service, our waitress was attentive and friendly that could not be said for the waiter who brought our food and bill. We all chose (7people) from the Sunday lunch menu. Tasty, good quality cuts of meat, wonderful Yorkshire puddings and delicious gravy, however the portion size and selection of vegetables was poor (we also ordered extra sides of cauliflower cheese) including 3 tiny roast potatoes. I would come here again to give the week menu a try.
The Cove Abersoch – PwllheliFour of us booked for Sunday Lunch and Wow!! Food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and made our visit very relaxed while looking out at the stunning view!! We wish you all the success in your new venture at The Cove.
The Cove Abersoch – PwllheliThis was our first visit to Y Sgwar restaurant and what a lovely pleasant surprise. We found the restaurant by chance, we put in the search engine, best Sunday lunch in North Wales and it was listed in the top 10. We were staying in the Caernarfon area so it was about a 20 mile drive. We arrived at 1345 and were directed to our table and given menus and we had the Sunday lunch , 3 courses The wine list was good and reasonably priced, I settled for a lovely Merlot and my partner being a driver had a soft drink. Very quickly our starter arrived, we both plumped for the Leek and Potato Soup , wonderfully rich and full of flavour. Good start. I ordered the Roast beef and my partner the Roast Pork. Both hearty servings and delicious. For pudding I went for the Apple Strudel and Custard, I was disappointed with the Strudel (pastry undercooked) My partner went for the White Chocolate cheesecake with Raspberries. 5 star. Very pleasant and attentive staff, will definitely be back again, Maybe not for the Apple Strudel. Well worth a visit if your in the Porthmadog area
