Went for Sunday lunch food was fab … would be nice to have gravy on side but I’m sure if I asked that wouldn’t have been a problem. Nice chilled atmosphere and great accommodating staff

Royal Oak – WrexhamSunday lunch for 4 of us. Amazing food, excellent and friendly service. Such a great experience that we’re dining there again on Tuesday.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe ate at the Bridge End on Friday evening for a retirement do. The staff have been fantastic throughout the process. Very helpful, even finding us 4 AA batteries when we asked! The food was delicious and there was a wonderful atmosphere in the room. Thank you very much for your service.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenHad a lovely meal once again at the sgwar,, nice relaxed atmosphere and staff as always pleasant
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe love coming to Y Sgwar and this weekend we came for a birthday celebration meal & had three courses, every one of which was perfect! Lovely welcoming and attentive staff and lovely atmosphere and incredible food! We’ll keep coming back and couldn’t recommend more. Thanks for a lovely evening
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogExcellent service, food and atmosphere. I’ll be back asap. Thank you!
The Cove Abersoch – PwllheliWe had a lovely evening in the Bridge end. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. I would have liked a more varied menu, although the food and drinks we ordered were lovely Thank you
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenAlways look forward to going the Victoria Inn when we are at our caravan in Taly bont, great food and drinks, lovely atmosphere and nice outside area for the kids and adults aswell. Also great service from the friendly and helpful staff. A most go to if we are in the area .
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthHow disappointed we were. We didn't go to Y Sgwar for our first meal of our visit. Had we known what we found on the second night we would not have made that mistake. Our second night meal was incomparably good. The main courses were so full of flavour and the desserts were an adventure. We cancelled out booking for our last night and returned to Y Sgwar. As before the food was outstanding. We also enjoyed our brief relationship with the wonderful staff. What a pleasure to get a bit of humour from them even though they were busy and in top gear. Wonderful place
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogDelicious dinner. A taster of several dishes off the menu to get yacht club members familiar with your offering. All very good and great to have The Cove open again. We wish you the best of luck this summer and we’ll be back very soon !
The Cove Abersoch – PwllheliOpening day tasting menu. Great tastes from the menu. Loved the salt and pepper sweet corn strips. The steak fell apart in the mouth, so tasty
The Cove Abersoch – PwllheliGreat food! Have not tasted lamb so good for many years accompanied by 'real' dauphonoise potatoes and fresh vegetables. Cooked to perfection and a with the king prawn starter this was a memorable meal.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThe herb crusted lamb was devine and the duck was fab. Scallops to start and chilli & garlic prawns wonderful. Lebanese red wine excellent.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogI love eating at The Vic. Always an interesting menu with lots of tasty choices. I have no hesitation recommending this fabulous dog & family friendly pub with immaculate gardens to my customers!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthThe restaurant is location a few minutes outside Potthmadog but worth the drive. Lovely building and a friendly welcome. My wife and I went on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy which suited us. Menu was small but enough variation for most tastes. I has the mussels to start and they were plump and delicious - would have preferred the toast on a separate plate though. We both chose the duck breast as a main and again it was cooked just right and again delicious served with buttered greens, dauphinoise potatoes and a plum jus. Just great. Pavlova to finish rounded off a special evening. Heartily recommended. Visiting from Chester so regrettably can't be a regular visitor.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe were SO pleased we stumbled across this absolute gem of a restaurant during our recent visit to the area. We got good vibes straight away from the warm welcome we received when we turned up, despite it being a last-minute booking. We shared a starter, and had a main course and pudding plus drinks, and the overall cost was very reasonable. Each dish was delicious - unable to fault! It's a shame we live hundreds of miles away or this would become a regular for us, for sure.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGood pub food. Excellent friendly service. Centrally located in Llangollen
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenThe whole experience on Sunday could not be faulted. Welcome, Service and Food were outstanding - along with the excellent value for money menu offered. We travel regularly throughout North Wales and UK in general and in our opinion this was the best experience ever for a Sunday Lunch. Will definitely visit again.!
