The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenThe whole experience on Sunday could not be faulted. Welcome, Service and Food were outstanding - along with the excellent value for money menu offered. We travel regularly throughout North Wales and UK in general and in our opinion this was the best experience ever for a Sunday Lunch. Will definitely visit again.!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLovely meal, generous portions. My 94 year old M in L really enjoyed her minted lamb meal - trust me that is a testament in it's self. She commented again today it was lovely. Bonus lol. Thank you. Xx
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthVisited Porthmadog area and stayed in Tremadog for a short weekend break with my Wife and Mother in Law. With the two ladies being excellent cooks themselves we all know and appreciate great food and all I can say is what a find this restaurant was ! The owner she granted us our request of a table with a nice view, very nice indeed and a great start. The staff were welcoming and very good service throughout. The food was nothing short of sublime, our compliments go out to the fantastic chef. The meal was absolutely delicious throughout and the produce is clearly top quality and the best of Wales. The meal was a highlight of our weekend and we are still talking about how good it was ! Suffice it to say we all left the restaurant very satisfied and very full :)
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGood reliable food, nothing fancy but well cooked and decent portions
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthBwyd a gwasanaeth ardderchog.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogTwo excellent roast lamb dinners, great service, good quality drinks. Portions were generous and filling.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthFour of us went for Sunday lunch for our friends birthday. Two of us had roast beef, one had lamb, the other roast pork. We all said probably best Sunday roasts we had ever had in a pub. The meat was so tender and just melt in the mouth, great selection of vegetables freshly cooked. The gravy was amazing! Yorkshire pubs were huge and nicely done...couldn't fault the meals in any way. Great service too, the pub was really busy but staff still had time for nice welcome and smile. Well done all at Victoria!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthIt was my Birthday dinner and my expectations were high as this place was recommended to me by a lot of people. Food was perfect. We had lamb, duck, scallops and halloumi. Everything was cooked perfectly. I will come back again and will recommend it to my friends. Thank you.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogI went with my granddaughter for tea. Staff were incredibly friendly, warm and attentive. We had the homemade curry and child's hot dog, although this was a proper sausage and went down very well. I quote 'Chips were the best chips ever,! The plate was empty,a sign of good food if a child empties the plate. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthEverything from start to finish we found to be perfect. Well done and thank you.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogExcellent evening. Two couples. Excellent food. Lovely staff. One nitpiccy point - the thin pork crackling with the belly pork was too difficult to eat but this did not detract from the evenings enjoyment. Look forward to the next time!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogDiolch yn fawr. Bwyd ardderchog a'r staff yn garedig.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogDespite being full and bustling on a Friday evening, the food was excellent as was the service Highly recommended
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFood was fabulous, great choice. Staff were extremely hardworking, happy and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenY Sgwar is our favourite local restaurant so it was the obvious choice for our 45th wedding anniversary. All the staff are very attentive and the food is always of a really high standard. Very popular so booking is essential. Their Sunday roasts are to die for! A hidden gem!

Y Sgwar – PorthmadogExcellent meals, filling portions with "to die for" twice fried chips. Not able to have a dessert as the main was so generous. Friendly staff and lovely venue. What was not to like?
