Fab food and good service will go again

We came here for my mums 60th birthday meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, the meals were outstanding best meals we've had in a long time. Lovely beer garden and play area for children. We can't wait to come back here again. Friendly staff and lovely cosy feel to the pub/restaurant. We enjoyed the double Gins too haha. Thank you

We were initially disappointed by the lack of choice of vegetarian main course dishes listed on the menu. However when we asked the staff we were told there were other possibilities available, which some of us chose. Later when looking at the choice for dessert, one of the members of staff pointed out that there was gelatine in the cheesecake. We were grateful for this. We all enjoyed our meals and will return.

The whole process from booking to payment was seamless. We’d recommended Y Sgwar to our friends who were in our party and you did not disappoint! The food in every course was delicious, and we all came away very happy - looking forward to dining with you again very soon!

Another lovely meal at Yr Sgwar. Early bird menu is excellent value just like the food and service. Quite busy for the early sitting but served without any delay. Well done to all concerned.

Dining at Y Sgwar is a truly delightful experience; from the gentle ambiance, amazing service and first class quality food; you will leave wanting to return! The variety of good local produce is astonishing and the presentation, although traditional, always has a subtle twist. Meals are competitively priced and there is an Early Bird menu at a special price. We live 80 miles away but make a special effort to book and stay, as often as is practical. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning food and wine! A beautiful seasonal menu with gorgeous wines even available by the glass. So lucky to have a great restaurant with lovely staff who are supporting local producers. We will definitely be returning soon and regularly. Not sure why we haven’t heard about it sooner.

We've been dining at Tge Square for many years; it's a favourite. Lovely staff, friendly atmosphere, pleasing menu.
