Was a regular diner at L'Alouette in Lark Lane, sadly closed due to lease expiration. Always enjoyed our dining there due to the great food that Dave presented and I am delighted that he has found his niche in his new venue 'CAVEAU' where he continues to delight with great dishes.

I went to woolton last night and i had fillet of steak was not bad small food i thought an thought the staff where ok. could be bit more nicer one of the staff was standing over me when i having my tea and the other staff was being false was not bad very dear for what u get thanks

We went to Othellos restaurant after reading the reviews on this website and we were not disappointed. The staff went out of their way to help and were really friendly. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

A very warm back to the south Liverpool dining scene to Maitre Chef, David Roberts who is once more in his kitchen cooking gastronomic extravaganzas. First class food coming out of this new Woolton eatery

I am from Greece and was living in Liverpool for 6 years. I have visited all Greek Restaurants there and I would highly recommend Othello's!!! It is the only restaurant where food actually tastes like Greek food. Although I live in Edinburgh I work South quite often and I always make a stop in Liverpool to enjoy the fish meze (can't find in other restaurants, also definitely try the Kleftiko) at Othello's. Its not only the food but also the warm atmosphere and friendly staff that make me go back on every chance. If you have ever visited Greece and you want to have the same taste again, this is the place to go!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant for its service and friendliness of its staff, i always book a table here as i personally think that it is the best Chinese restaurant around Liverpool, and can't recommend it enough.

What a lovely experience - the food was delicious served in a really relaxed and informal setting by Marie who was a most gracious hostess. Although there were four adults in our party, we will definitely be returning with our children as there was a real sense of "family" and warmth in the place. Would readily recommend!

The Ying Wah has been our family favourite restaurant for almost 20 years! Never had a bad meal there, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Visit before 7.30 for reasonable family banquets (prepare to ask for leftovers!) And if any of you party don't fancy Chinese, they do fabulous steak!

Me and 3 others went to Othellos last Friday, just for a last minute meal. I had never been before, and never really knew anyone who had been so didn't know what to expect. However the food was absolutely gorgeous. We ordered the set meal for £18.50 per head, this included an array of pitta bread and dips for starters, a fish course - the prawns are amazing. A spicy sausage and pork course, then a kebab course with potatoes. We were stuffed, but the food was fantastic and for the price we paid very good value for money. We will definitely be going back to Othello's soon.

The Ying Wah has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we thought we would give it a go.....we are glad we did, the food was excellent, the staff are extremely friendly and the service is great. The staff really do go that extra mile and take the time out to ensure everything is perfect for you.

Definitely one of the best restaurants i've been to in a long long time. The food was magnificent and there was plenty of it as well! The staff made our night very special due to their kindness and friendliness. Well worth a visit:)

Since the re-furb its only got better. Great staff, excellent food at great prices and a fab atmosphere. The best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to - would never go to any other. Keep up the good work ;)

Definitely amongst the best Chinese food in the city, and the ambience and staff make this one of the best venues around. It's just been refurbed but the old principles that have been evident since I first went still apply - top service from really friendly and helpful staff who go the extra mile to make sure you feel really welcome.

We visited Allerton Hall today to see if we would use it for our Wedding Celebration. We were impressed with the staff and Sarah the manager, very helpful. We tried the food, and the portions and quality were exceptional. at 2 for £10. The grounds are beautiful and we will be booking it for our Wedding Evening Celebration.

There are many Greek restaurants in Liverpool, but this has been consistently one of the best. Unlike the others the chef never changes, The present chef, Gerry, has learned his skill well and as he is the owner he will not be moving on. Don't be afraid to ask for the grilled meats to be cooked just as you like them.

I tried the fish meze, which was fantastic. The service was brilliant and the courses came out at a great pace. Other friends and family have been prior and had the same experience with the meat meze. couldn't praise the restaurant enough. Will definitely be a regular there, couldn't ask for anymore it was brilliant.

Thank you to Maria, Gerry & staff for helping to make our wedding reception a wonderful occasion. My husband and I have been regulars at Othello’s for years and we opted against having a traditional wedding breakfast in a hotel because we wanted our day to be as informal and relaxed as possible yet we still wanted all the extra special touches. We were not disappointed with our decision - our whole wedding party had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and wonderful atmosphere. We had the Greek Meat Meze which meant that some courses had to altered to accommodate the 3 veggies – this proved no problem at all. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Some of our friends and family have since become firm followers and we shall always return!
