The food was excellent, it was our wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous time. The staff were great, s will recommend the restaurant to our family and friends.

We had a visit to 31 Castlegate on Friday 21st August and we were not disappointed, the service and food were very good indeed and would recommend it to anyone and definitely go again.

We have visited this fabulous restaurant on quite a few occasions now and have never had a bad meal it is consistently excellent and great value for money. The staff are also great and assets to the restaurant.

The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately it took an hour after we had received our starter for our main course to arrive. We had to ask where it was on a couple of occasions.

Love this restaurant, great food, very friendly staff and nice ambience. Set menu is well worth checking out.

Welcome back Maxis we really missed you. We visited on Sunday afternoon 16/8/20 and were very impressed with the social distancing and hygiene procedures in place. The staff all wore masks and we felt very comfortable. And, of course, the food was great!!

We visited Maxis York on 16/8/20. We ordered as usual Dim Sum which was outstanding as always. Our temperatures were checked on the way in. All social distancing rules were adhered to. The staff were great and all wore masks. We definitely be returning again very soon. Thank you Maxis for re-opening we really missed you!

All the latest guidelines were followed. The staff were friendly and polite. My wife had the banquet for two. The food was excellent and served promptly. Many thanks.

Although the food was first class & staff pleasant the service between starters & main course was very poor it took over an hour and we had to ask. Others were coming in after us & leaving before we got our main course which kind of spoilt the meal.

We came to maxis at York on 12 August, guidelines were followed and staff were friendly. Food was lovely as always ,we will be back soon thank you.

Easy Booking system and made the most of the eat out to help out scheme. Great atmosphere with friendly, welcoming staff. The food is amazing with great size portions. We felt at ease and comfortable as the tables are well distanced and a one in one out system for the toilets works well.

Amazing food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our banquet. The staff were attentive, observed all social distancing rules and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Even though they were busy. Great value for money - we will be back.

Delicious food polite service

We were a party of four who had a 3 course meal early evening . The service was attentive but not pushy or trying to rush us . The 4 of has enjoyed every course of our meals , which included different dishes , so we had a wide choice to review from ! We were all more than happy with our choices and would have ordered the same dishes again if we given the choice ! (The crispy pork starter was to die for !!) Given the present situation with covid , i felt very safe and i think they have done everything possible to make it comfortable and safe !

Really happy to see Maxis reopen again. Food was great as always and service from staff was fantastic. Thank you
