One of the north's most high-profile chefs, Paul Heathcote opened his flagship Longridge Restaurant in 1990 and built it up to two-Michelin-star status. The Heathcotes group now extends to nine restaurants across Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire and Cheshire and includes his Olive Press chain of Italian restaurants and a flourishing outside catering business. Paul has teamed up with Sugarvine to answer your cookery questions:
Ask Paul Heathcote your question. What kinds of equipment do professional chefs use? I'm intrigued! Their knives must be super sharp and no matter how much I try I can't get mine like theirs. Chefs on TV always seem to have similar pans etc to each other. Is there a brand that they all use? - Jamie

More information on Paprika"been to paprika this weekend. after trying blue ginger last weekend. well what a big difference in price ! blue ginger is alot cheaper. i cant understand how the person on one of paprikas reviews said paprika is cheaper. for a start you can't compare tesco booze price with licensed restaurant prices. . no matter what anybody says if you take your own drinks to a bring your own drinks restaurant , its simple maths its gonna be cheaper ! i found the food in paprika is has good has blue ginger. but i don't know if we have forgot there's still a recession on. and i love my Indian food. if i still want to eat every week i will have to take my own drinks in , plus you get a better choice !
