A nice setting for afternoon tea. Would recommend the coffee and cakes as well as the scone and cream. Like afternoon tea used to be years ago.

Gincase – WigtonI enjoyed my visit to the Lake District very enjoyable, there was lots of lovely cafe's and restaurants. But i thought that the Brambles Tea room in Windermere was very lovely, it had lovely food, service and an ideal location.
Brambles Coffee Bar – WindermereClassy four-star hotel with a fantastic lakeside setting. There's a fine dining restaurant and a brasserie and we opted for the latter with it being a hot summer's day. Imaginative menu. If the weather is good, don't miss out on a drink on the terrace.
Lakeside Hotel – WindermereI have never written a review before but after our lunch today I felt compelled to tell everyone about my experience. Honestly words cannot describe this hotel. I went to the hotel for lunch eager to sample the new local dishes I had heard so much about. The food was superb, the views are the best I have ever seen and the service was second to none. I don't think I will ever be able to take my girlfriend anywhere else after this experience. What a shame!
Sharrow Bay – PenrithOne of the best places I have been to! Stunning views of Lake Windermere with food and service to match!
Holbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel – WindermereI visited the Badger on Sunday following a trek up Loughrigg and a swim in the lake. Very good location away from the hustle of Ambleside town on a hot sunny day. We sat outside in the beer garden enjoying the calm. Great pub and very very old!!
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWe visited the Coot on the Tarn on a Sunday and the place was very busy booking required. We were greeted pleasantly and the service was very good. The setting and surrounding landscaped gardens were exquisite and I would recommend a visit to anybody.
Coot On The Tarn The – UlverstonIndiagate is a breath of fresh air! Contemporary and colourful surroundings, exceptionally attentive and well mannered staff and food to match. The dishes are full of the fresh ingredients you would expect but so rarely find. The staff always try to temp you away from the usual 'safe' dishes and you really should trust them- you'll be pleasantly surprised! 10/10
Indiagate – PenrithThe best lunch out I've had in 2006, no doubt!
Booths Cafe – Kendalsensational food at a v reasonable price. great menu , meal from start to finish was superb. staff friendly and attentive but not overly so. the bill is served hidden in an old book( nice touch )and i liked that there was no obvious hints for gratuities but the quality of food & service certainly should be (and were) rewarded
Postilion Restaurant – WindermereThe restaurant in decorated to a very high standard, the food is of the highest quality, and all the staff are really friendly. There is a separate lounge to have a quiet drink after or before your meal. Its just like being in Italy, well worth a visit, ill be back!
Adriano Ristorante – CarlisleThis is a great place for lunch and to buy treats for your own larder!
Lucy’s On A Plate – AmblesideI think the views from the restaurant windows are the best of any in the UK. And as the restaurant has had a Michelin star for years it makes this place a real special treat!
Sharrow Bay – PenrithThis is a tip top establishment in troutbeck. The place is spotless and has been restored with great attention to detail. The food was excellent and had professional service to match and to cap it all its situated in beautiful surroundings! A great place to stay or just eat
Broadoaks Country House Hotel – WindermereI enjoyed a great meal at the Queens Head at Hawkshead, good hearty British fayre!
