More Cafe Sekander recommendationsWe have had two Saturday evenings at Prego in the last month and on both occasions we had a wonderful time with excellent food served by attentive and knowledgeable staff. The a la carte menu is great but try the specials, I had monkfish wrapped in pancetta and served with a white wine and grape sauce, and on the other occasion red snapper with a spicy mexicana sauce which was equally superb.
More Prego Restaurant recommendationsWe went as a family to celebrate my sisters 63rd birthday. She was the oldest and the party was mixed ages with the youngest being only 6. It was a rare sunny day in August and we enjoyed the food, drink and the sunshine on the outside terrace. But Shaun our waiter made the day, he was helpful, cheerful and very entertaining. We would go back again but would hope that Shaun is on that shift.
More Zizzi recommendationsVisited Piccolino on the Sunday during the Mathew st festival, food, service, and staff were all top class. We would certainly visit here again when in liverpool next year.
More Piccolino recommendationsMe and my partner have real trouble eating out because of her food tolerance and some places when asked if they cater for Coeliac's (Gluten Free) they look at you like your going mad. We phoned this restaurant up and they knew all about gluten free and said they would work round us so we visited there that evening. Not only was the food amazing it was really cheap because of the early bird special but the main thing was the staff, they gave up a really warm family welcome straight from the main door to the end of the meal. Would highly recommend to all........
More Christakis recommendationsI've been here quite a few times now. The food is top notch and if you take advantage of the offers then you're quids in. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. As we live near Allerton we're spoilt for choice for local eateries. But eight is the one that tops my list
More Eight Restaurant And Bar recommendationsWe went to something special last week for 'the first time in about six months to find it under new management. Not that much has changed, the food is still superb and the service excellent, still the same two waitresses as our earlier visits. What we thought was a new waiter we discovered is the new owner manager, he seems quite young and inexperienced though he's maybe still settling in, as it were. He's a long way to go before he matches his predecessor. That said, highly recommend and worth a visit for Sunday lunch.
More Something Special Brasserie And Coffee Shop recommendationsWe ate here last week whilst on a three day break in Liverpool. It was one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. The food was superb as was the service - just loved the slowly bakes mushrooms with Roquefort. Can't wait to go back.
More Bistro Franc recommendationsI visited this restaurant a week ago Thursday, with a group of friends. I travelled from Birkenhead, Wirral and can say that it was worth the travelling. The food was delicious, the layout excellent, so much so that I am going back next week with another friend
More Crown Of India recommendationsThis restaurant is fab!!! Some friends and i recently visited Cafe Porto for the evening tapas menu. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. It is very reasonably priced too and we took our own wine. There aren't many places where you can get a mountain of delicious food and wine in lovely surroundings for less than £20 a head! Although it is BYO, they do have Portuguese wines on the wine list, which are priced between £15-25 ish. We opted to take our own Portuguese wine and the guy that runs it brought a taster glass of their house wine to see how the wines contrasted and told us a little bit about the different wine growing areas of Portugal. The people who worked there were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I really recommend Cafe Porto - its a hidden gem!
