Mei Mei, Liverpool City Centre(Review by Lesley Aldridge)

We see our friends in Liverpool a few times a year and, we always go to the Mei Mei, the food is superb, the staff are very courteous and very helpful, reasonable prices on food and drinks. You cannot fault anything about this restaurant, even if they are busy they always accomadate. We have booked the Mei Mei for our friends surprise Birthday meal. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

The Royal Standard, West Derby(Review by Victor Turner)

The new management show no interest in getting to know regulars and of serving them. Often I have been left waiting at the bar because staff are serving in the restaurant. It has always been a LFC pub,now it seems to be horse racing and Everton. I won't be back after over 55 years going there.

Prego Restaurant
Prego Restaurant, Aintree(Review by Laura)

Simply the best! The kids loved it and were so well looked after by the staff. My mum and a right laugh over a glass of wine and some delicious lamb. Will definitely be coming back :D

Rack and Dollar, Liverpool City Centre(Review by Julie)

We have just paid to park and have a breakfast for the first time as we were looking to book a table for a anniversary meal with the family. We walked in and stood waiting for over 5 minutes while a work man was behind the bar. Nobody came out to serve or direct us to a table. We left with no breakfast and very disappointed !!!! Will not be going back for the anniversary meal now. What a shame after the good reviews I expected better.

Aroma's Lounge, Aintree(Review by Espresso Lover)

Best coffee house in the area. Vicky and her staff are all so lovely. Also this is a very sociable place, with lots more going on than just coffee and cake xx

Chinese Kitchen, Wallasey(Review by Paige)

Went for a meal with colleagues last Thursday. The food was very enjoyable and there was plenty. The set menu was good value and I thought the choice of vegetarian meals was quite acceptable and better than many other restaurants I have been to. The main minus was difficulty parking due to the restaurant being on a busy road with limited parking and most of the surrounding area was residential parking for permit holders. In addition, whenever the door of the restaurant was opened it sent a blast of cold air over us until it was closed again.

Weatherspoons, Southport(Review by Kerri)

We went to this resturant on sat and was totally disappointed. We sat on a table that was for 2 people and we had my son in a high chair. When the meals came my sons childs meal came on a large very hot plate so he was unable to eat this himself. The chicken burgers we ordered were really really dry. I asked to speak to the manager but they never appeared and I gave up. I won't be going here again, My son could have been injured with the plate being so hot.

Rossi's Ice Cream Parlour, Southport(Review by Robert Parkinson)

If you really fancy an ice cream and have the choice of Rossi's or nothing, have nothing. Rude, ignorant proprietor. Ice cream tasted 'clinical' - complained ,and was told 'Ive been selling it all day' - no apology, no replacement, no refund. Unlike most establishments, no prices were visible (dodgy - let's fleece the tourists!). Thankfully, the scoops were so ungenerous, the experience didn't last long. 'Home made ice cream' - only if your home was a factory full of poor quality ingredients. The only time you could possibly find an authentic flavour, would be if you requested oxygen and ice crystals flavour, or the brown coloured 'death by blandness'.
