We were a party of five for lunch on Christmas Day, which is usually a bit of a hit and miss affair. However, it was extremely well organised and although very full, at no time did the service fall below excellent. The food was good with decent sized portions and it arrived at appropriate intervals. The restaurant had created a really nice atmopshere and everyone enjoyed themselves a lot. I would definitely recommend Elmas for a Christmas Day lunch to anyone thinking of doing it another year.

We’ve never had Christmas Dinner out so was unsure if it would be just average due to how busy it would be etc etc Oh My Good it was amazing the Food, Staff and Venue were Perfect. Not one fault at all and we’ll rebook for next year 100%

Another wonderful evening , Bacchus is truly one of the best restaurants in the area ( if not the country). The menu is varied and the food is so well prepared and served…. and the service is Bacchus’ crowing glory. You are made so welcome, and so comfortable. The attention is second to none, always discreet, but always there. Thank you so much for such another lovely evening , we will be back soon.

Food absolutely amazing as always - can’t fault it. Best tapas we have had. Unfortunately (and as has been the past time we have been) we had poor service. We waited over 45 mins for our food and kept trying to get attention of different waiters to ask if there was an issue but they always walked past very quickly avoiding eye contact. We watched other tables that arrived well after us all get their food before us. No one came to us in those 45 mins and we all had empty drinks and wanted to order more. Only at the very end of the evening did they say sorry you waited a long time for your food the order didn’t go through at the till. But no money off or anything. Mistakes happen, I just think it would have been better if we were told at the time rather than avoiding us! We also had to keep getting up to find waiters to ask for drinks and deserts as we were left for 20-25 minutes at a time with no one coming to check on us. It was very cold (as seen mentioned in another review) so we had to sit with coats on, as did some other tables. The waiters themselves were lovely and friendly whenever we did see them, it’s just the service was poor unfortunately and it did put a downer on an evening (which was for a special birthday).

A pre-Christmas treat for us both, excellent meal, wonderful service. Bacchus is a lovely restaurant, great food, friendly, professional staff. Definitely feels “a bit special”. Thank you.

Delicious food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere, perfect! We did linger a little and were last out, but never felt pressured to move on. Will definitely return when next in Chester for an evening. thanks to all concerned.

We are regulars at Bacchus as the food and service is always excellent. And they never have loud recorded background music

Have you ever wanted to go to an Italian restaurant and have a real carbonara? And I'm not talking about cream and undercooked bacon. This restaurant takes pride in its classic and authentic Italian cuisine and deliver without fault. The service is perfect, staff are friendly and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic food absolutely yummy, the lamb shank was to die for. Really great choice of wines. Service was friendly and we felt special. Will definitely book again soon.

Yet another fantastic evening at Elmas! Excellent food:Rack of Lamb was divine; Chicken sauté was so tasty and the Seabass was mouthwatering. This restaurant never fails to deliver exceptional food and attentive service with a smile. Always a wonderful atmosphere-it’s no wonder we always return!
