Worst food ever eaten. Terrible, just terrible place. Went to Chester for a day out with the family, fallowing advice of guy with and advert on the street, decided to eat at this Chinese place, couldn’t be more disappointed, the food was cold, look like if had been reheat several times, very rude staff when tried to complaint about, there was skin chicken on two or tree of the dishes, and to complete the menu a bite of a raw spring roll, that smelled like hell. after been there some of us were so upset about the experience that we decided to leave Chester early. Next day had to book a appointment with the GP, for my daughter, who diagnosed food poison. please don't even think about this place as a option to eat.

Indian Brasserie – Chester

Not just the first Indian restaurant in Stockport but the best. Taking into account the premises, the food, the ambience and the friendly hardworking staff, I challenge anyone to find a better one in the Greater Manchester area. SUPERB!

i will never eat here again the food made me ill i would not feed it to my dog that's how bad it was.the service was disgusting and not helpful at all it seems all they wanted to do was take your money and as far as the owner. well i thought he was an ignorant little man who thinks he is something special if this is how he runs his business well i hope it fails very soon

Over the years I have eaten at The Church Inn numerous times and always enjoyed, but my last experience (1st Oct, 2011) was terrible. The starter of mussels was was not too bad in all honesty, but the main course of Scampi was terrible and vastly overpriced at 10.50 GBP. It actually came in a basket (I thought that this was now illegal) on a plate. No vegetables or salad of any description and the Scampi should not have been called Scampi in my opinion. In case there are any questions about my authenticity this is my first review of any restaurant on any website at any time.

Big thumbs down to the Hatton Arms Gave this venue a second chance having read good feedback but again I found it to be very average food at inflated prices. There are much better places to eat in the area.

Upon our arrival we were indeed treated to a feast for the eyes-fantastic premises, decor and attention to detail in the interior design. Sadly, however, this is where the praise ends- a hen party of approximately 12 persons, we ended up waiting over forty minutes for our starter and then another 50 minutes from starter to main. Waitresses were asked to describe dishes and make recommendations, neither of which they could do. The manager was rude and aggressive actually leaving the hen close to tears. We had advised them that although we were not wanting to make a fuss, so as not to spoil the night for the hen, we were not happy. No amendment to the bill was made or apology offered. Another member of the party had taken medication upon arrival and had not ordered a starter. we advised the waitress of this matter, and again, no offer of apology or solution was made. The food arrived and was, quite frankly disappointing. Over salted, dried butterbeans that appeared to have also been waiting 50 minutes to get to the table accompanied my lacklustre duck. looking around the table the faces, quite accustomed to fine dining, informed me that I was not alone in feeling this way. I would definitely NOT recommend eating here if you are hungry,in a hurry or expect quality service.

Wow. What a nice surprise. Excellent service and food. Nice to see the manager being so attentive to all the customers. Well worth the visit.

Have sat in before and was ok however wont try a takeaway again i'm afraid. Curry very fatty and their was more colouring on the plate than meat. The naan was burnt also so very disappointed. Hope people have better experiences than mine.

Good beer but nearly all dinning capacity inside. Food really average but staff friendly. The owners are dog friendly but they themselves are dirty owners (don't pick up after their own dogs properly) A great shame for a proud pub to be so misguided.

It was wonderful to find such a good restaurant in the town centre close to where we were staying - no driving on strange roads at night ! Lovely food, more imaginative and inspired than your average Italian restaurant, helpful and friendly staff. So good we dined there 2 nights on the run.

Sunday lunch at the Greyhound was a real treat - not the cheapest, but nor was it outrageously expensive and the food was perfection with roasties to die for! Nice people, really attentive and a lovely relaxed atmosphere - best of all a good pint of Timothy Taylors!

Have eaten here on 3 occasions since it opened in June and tried something different on each occasion, the chefs special board takes some beating and the sea bass is certainly my favourite.Going back 3 times says how much we have enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere and general layout of the restaurant is excellent along with the politeness and service of the staff. We have recommended to friends and family who have all visited and not been disappointed

Well worth a drive out into the countryside to this quaint thatched pub. Pub it may be but the food was restaurant quality, good selection and when served proved to be excellent, piping hot food served by friendly, attentive staff. I would highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again in the not too distant future.

In the area on holiday and reputation drove us to try this venue and we were not let down, the food was superb, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them our small child was looked after ever so well. The wine was excellent, overall a very pleasing experience we would recommend it to anyone, enjoy the experience. Jono- Walsall
