I had a mixed kebab starter followed by chicken shahee. The food was lovely and the restaurant is well presented and warm. Looking forward to next time.

First visit to the Mockingbird Taproom in Chester and had a great night. The menu has lots of interesting choices as well as the sort of Tex-Mex stuff (nachos, burgers) you might expect. I had a spicy gumbo from the main menu and my wife a prawn and chorizo jamabalaya from the specials board. Presentation is quirky and the venue is lively (with some great tunes from the DJ when we visited on Saturday evening). If there’s a group of you the central bench tables look a good bet but if you’re a 4 I would ask for one of the round tables as the oblong ones are a bit of a tight squeeze. Good selection of bottled craft beers and New World wines to complement the food.

Great place for families. I had a very tasty Burrito and my wife the tofu noodles. The boy enjoyed his too and his balloon! Staff were cool and laid back

This Restaurant is so underrated, went last night again, absolutely awesome.

Lovely food. Partner loved the black pudding, I loved the Crispy Duck salad - wonderful, unusual flavours. Nice friendly family pub with possibly the youngest waiter in the North, Theo (aged 9 or so). Very helpful and hard working! What a great place, will definitely go again.
