Did not live up to expectations. Food seemed to be reheated (maybe micro). Service was not good. Won't visiting again. Try the Terrace opposite - so much better.

Cafe Salar – LymmDelicious food, charming service and a great price. What else could you ask for?
See Quare – CongletonBeen walking past here for ages, why? Went this evening with my family, kids loved making their own pizzas Staff are so friendly and our food fabulous.Be going again very soon,
Delgados – Warringtonthis is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Chester all the food is cooked fresh using fresh ingredients, all the staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is excellent .if you want a good meal at reasonable prices La fattoria will not disappoint in any way
La Fattoria – ChesterMy other half had booked a table for two for 6.30 on Sunday the 24th of October. He booked this as a surprise for my birthday and had mentioned to the restaurant as such. As it happens we have been to the restaurant on four previous occasions and enjoyed beautiful food and copious amounts of wine and whiskey. Not only this but I have taken a couple of my female colleagues to the restaurant as I had experienced such excellent service from the likes of Paul (picking out fine wine choices) and Mark (all round pleasure) and other members of staff and the food had always been of a high standard, so much so that myself and my partner were considering the venue for our wedding reception and had mentioned this to Robert late one evening after dining there. On Sunday the 24th we had experienced a little bit of bother and was running a tad late, my partner asked me if we should call the restaurant but as we were only minutes late and the restaurant had my partners mobile number and I had the mobile in my hand whilst he drove I didn't feel that we needed to, afterall a restaurant would have the decency of calling the customer had they any concerns, or so I thought! We arrived outside Cabbage Hall at 6.37pm and noticed that it looked closed, and indeed it was. The fact that the restaurant had closed early when there sign outside clearly states that it is open until 8pm was the first surprise, the fact that we were only 7 mins late and they had already closed was another, the lack of communication from the restaurant given that they had our mobile number; all of this I found shocking enough but then came the worst experience I have ever encountered from a member of the hospitality trade..... My partner knocked politely on the door of cabbage hall as we could see that Robert was stood at the bar and he just ignored us, my partner knocked on the door again and gestured to his watch and to us but Robert just shrugged. At this point I told my partner to call the restaurant so that he can at least speak to the manager because maybe they had had a flood etc, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point, trying to remember at this point the high esteem in which I held Cabbage Hall. My partner spoke to Robert Kisby himself and Robert stated " Im not being funny, im running a business, your late so im shut, your a no-show and i can't keep the kitchen open for people who can't turn up ontime". Now, don't get me wrong, we were 7minutes late but if Mr Kisby runs his business like this going forward he runs the risk of losing customers, the place is situated in a 'destination' area of which we happened to have travelled the 30mins to and had booked an overnight stay, just to dine at Cabbage Hall!!! Word of mouth in that industry is paramount, peoples experience is imperative and return custom only comes from fantastic attention to service and food. now, I can't comment on what the food would have been like the night of my birthday as I obviously didn't dine at Cabbage Hall but the service I/we experienced from the owner himself ensured that I, along with every cheshire based person/business that I know will never return to Cabbage Hall. Mr Kisby could have, and should have dealt with this in a professional manner, a manner in which he would ensure our return custom and thus keep spreading the positive review amoungst friends etc. If it had been my restaurant I would have invited us in from the cold, asked for the reasons why we were late, said the kitchen was all turned off because we were late and offered us a complimentary drink in way of making it up to us that we weren't going to be able to eat there, albeit that the restaurant was due to close at 8pm. If he had done this I would have had a very different opinion of him and his establishment. In this economic climate Mr Kisby must be making an abundance of money, so much so perhaps that he does not need to uphold good service and relationships with customers who live within his catchment area.good on you Mr Kisby.
Pesto at Cabbage Hall – Tarporleywe have eaten there a few times and very good went last Xmas day and going again this year liked it very much. well worth going
Farmers Arms – Nantwichfantastic place food wonderful the best place in Macclesfield Peppe is the best front of house we have ever come across the Restaurant has been open for 28years and he is still very enthusiastic
Chesters – MacclesfieldBecoming a bit of a fixture for the excellent early bird offer. £10 for three courses is great value by any standard and even more so because all the courses are freshly cooked and truly delicious!
See Quare – CongletonAs a regular diner at pizza express I was appalled at my latest experience. We were seated and then watched two further tables seated near to us, after us. These tables had drinks orders taken, but we didn't. After 25minutes I approached the manager at the other side of the restaurant, explained nobody had taken our drinks order and asked if he could - he said he would be right over. We then watched him approach a table of a large group chatting with them, and he never came to see to us. By now, the two tables who were in after us had their drinks. It then became clear that the table next to us had waited 1.5 hours for their main course - we know this as it hadn't arrived and they complained. The table to our other side had been in for two hours and only had their main course, and another table near to us had their starters delivered after their mains and we heard the staff explain this would be on the house after they also complained. It became clear that, after 35 minutes, and no drinks order being taken from us (despite us asking the manager!) and also the complaints going on around us, that we were not going to get a meal that evening. Therefore, we left and as we did the manager came over and we explained we were leaving; his only response "yeah - the service is unacceptable, sorry" then he walked away. I have never ever experienced anything so poor in any restaurant. We promptly walked to Fina (an Italian restaurant opposite) and got a lovely table, an ice bucket with our wine within 3 minutes of being in the restaurant, and excellent service throughout. They really did put Pizza Express to shame.
Pizza Express – MacclesfieldMyself and my husband decided to go to for drinks and a meal at Cafe Salar recently. It was absolutely amazing. We had a magical night to remember. Everything was perfect; the service, the food was amazing, as were the cocktails and the atmosphere. We felt as though we were dining out in the med! The owner even asked how we were enjoying our evening. Unbeatable! We will be back very soon. I have recommended this first class cocktail bar/restaurant to all my friends and family. The prices were reasonable too. Thank you to all at Cafe Salar - brilliant and outstanding!
Cafe Salar – LymmWe visited the Chilli Banana soon after returning from a holiday in The restaurant was almost fully booked so the service was a little slow but the most disappointing aspect of the visit was the un-authenticity and quality of the food, Our tempura starters were quite heavily battered, more chippy style than the crisp clean texture we'd hoped for, The seafood tempura contained only 2 pieces of seafood and the remainder consisted of vegetables, Since we'd also ordered a vegetable tempura to share it was really a case of vege-overload. A main couse of Geang Ped ( Thai Red Curry) anf fragrant rice was much more acceptable but the Pad Thai Gung, a dish of supposedly stir fried noodles with prawns was a mish-mash of noodles, rice, too much oil and too few- (just 4)-prawns. As already mentioned the restaurant was almost fully booked so it obviously has it's fans, none of whom iI'm guessing have tasted authentc Thai Cuisine. On the positive side the staff were courteous and the atmosphere was busy and welcoming but the most important aspect of a restaurant that will lure you back time and time again is great food, and sadly, here, there was none,
Chilli Banana – WilmslowYour staff can be bad mannered and don't say please and thank-you which is a great shame, as the shop and cafe are lovely.
The Cheshire Smokehouse – WilmslowWe visited on Sunday 17 October and were very impressed. Lovely surroundings, good service, great food at a reasonable price. What more do you want?.
Red Lion – MacclesfieldOur 3 course lunch with a sugarvine offer was served as perfectly as they would serve dinner to a high-rolling guest. OK the portions are a little 'delicate' but the presentation is superb and the flavours on a grand scale.
ABode Chester – ChesterCafe Salar - what can I say? In a word...Faultless! staff are the most friendly and relaxed professionals you will meet in the trade - obviously hand-picked by an experienced hand. great ambience. Food and drink quality? really second to none; and the price: is right!
Cafe Salar – LymmA diamond in the rough. The service is wonderful, the staff very friendly and the food is outstanding. We came for just drinks on a different night and the standard of service was still just perfect - attentive but never too much, and nothing was too much bother for any of the staff. We will definitely be heading there again soon, and I'm looking forward to trying different seasonal dishes on the menu.
The Grill on the Square – WarringtonReally good fish and chips, the best I have tasted anywhere. The fish is just delicious, and the chips are delicious as well! Only complaint is that if you order fish and chips together they salt it all after you have the fish on top, so you get very salty fish and barely any salt on the chips, which is ok, but not what i like.
Britania – Heaton MoorOverpriced, cheap food, cheap ingredients, terrible service and my only guess is the previous reviews were written by themselves. It's not Spanish, not in the slightest. The menu, pub grub, cooked very well but lacking the taste of good ingredients. The wine, picked up in your local Asda as the cheapest wine they sell, sold you you at 200% markup - you'll have a hangover tomorrow. "Are you Salar?" No, I'm not a cretin without style or taste thank you.
