really nice chinese cuisine and chinese atmosphere very authentic
Alhambra – MiddlewichI'm very fond of their lunch time menu - i'd recommend the duck in plum sauce wrap
The Slug and Lettuce – ChesterReally enjoyed my food at the Three Stags and the price was very reasonable. Service a bit slow though, as was the bar service despite there being only a few customers in.
Three Stags – BebingtonThis has got to be one of THE best pubs for food in Wirral. Consistently decent meals for a reasonable price and stacks of choice on the menu. There's a good range of cask beers as well and the staff are always helpful. The only snag is the wait for food -one hour is not uncommon of a Sunday lunchtime, but then I suppose that's the downside of it being so popular! Go try it.
Hinderton Arms – Parkgateit was very good i enjoyed it a lot.
The Deli and Coffee Shop – Holmes ChapelOne of the finest restaurants in the area. Excellent ingredients, well-chosen dishes, and everything cooked to near-perfection. The owner is meticulous in trying to ensure his guests are happy. The place is always busy and although a touch pricey, worth every penny. This is how to run a restaurant!
Chesters – MacclesfieldThe Crystal Restaurant is open to non-residents. The menu is modern english/ european with strong french influences. The food was outstanding. The restaurant obviously sources high quality and fresh produce, and then prepares it to the highest standards. We had the Sea Bass, which was just perfect. And the fillet of beef, which has got to be one of the best fillets of beef we have ever tasted. The presentation is a little over-fussy, but not surprising as they are proud of their food. The service was very attentive and the courses perfectly timed. The Victorian Hall is in a beautiful setting, and the decor reeks of genuine old luxury, with wood panelling and paintings on every side. The gardens are beautiful, and if your table is by a window you have a lovely view. -This must be a dream location for wedding receptions! However, with a dress code (-no jeans!) and slightly snooty staff, the atmosphere is a trifle stuffy and formal. We found to difficult to relax, and found ourselves heading off for more soothing surroundings without any spoken debate. But we're glad we tried it, if only for the food which would not be out of place on the table of a gourmet restaurant in Paris.
Nunsmere Hall Hotel – NorthwichVery low cost, high value meal! I didn't realise that you could do so many things with chicken!
Nando’s – Ellesmere PortWe came across The Pheasant Inn when we were looking for a quick bite to eat. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside admiring the view. The food was gorgeous, a bit pricey but worth it!
Pheasant Inn – Chesterlovely food i will definitely go there again. Mr Chows is definitely the best Chinese on the Wirral.
always enjoy our visit but disappointed when we are a party of seven and find three diners sitting at a table meant for seven or more perhaps staff should guide diners to suitable table.potential diners should approach staff to be shown suitable table so that larger parties are catered for otherwise they will go elsewhere. menu and food is too good to miss
The step in is has good quality food me and my boyfriend go there a lot ands my mum and dad have been going there for years!!!
Step In India – ChesterThe Siam restaurant has a Japanese restaurant on the ground floor and Thai on the 1st floor. I have been to both several times, and definitely rate the Thai restaurant as one of the best I have been to in the North West. Slightly above average prices compared with other Thai restaurants in the area, but worth it. The Japanese area has several Teppan Yaki tables, where chefs cook in front of you. If you know your Japanese food (and I do, I studied and travelled in Japan), then be prepared, the chefs are not Japanese, and the tricks a bit lame at times. Its good fun with a group, but if you want real Japanese food there are better places to go in Manchester for example. I'd go for the Thai every time myself.
Siam Thai and Teppanyaki – ChesterGive them a chance. It's extremely good!!!
The White Lion – CreweThe food and service are outstanding and the staff are most helpful they know how to make you feel welcome and it makes you remember what good service is I had the mixed seafood and I would have to say it was very very good do try this restaurant it is five star plus
Chopstix – NantwichI eat out frequently and usually choose somewhere recommended by word of mouth. The food here was amongst the best. I had Risotto which was extremely tasty, and my friend ordered the roast beef which came out with the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen, and side dish of fresh (not microwaved) seasonal vegetables. The puddings were mouth-watering...strawberry flambé was delicious. Presentation was also impeccable. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced and I thoroughly recommend the White Lion, Audlem Road, Hankelow.
The White Lion – CreweWe have just returned from an evening at Peruga, our first visit there and we were not disappointed. As stated previously the menu is limited, however the food was fantastic. I enjoyed the Oat rolled Mackerel so much that I was a little cheeky & asked how it was cooked! The Chef came out to tell me at which point we were able to compliment him. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return very soon.
Peruga At Woodheys – MarpleIts often the case that you go back to a restaurant and it doesn't live up to your memory, so when we returned here we did so with some trepidation. Not to worry. why the place remains a hidden gem I don't know. I do like my food cooked to my taste, not slapped down as the chef turned it out. Nothing from plastic bags, and no nouvelle cuisine, fresh home cooked and plenty of it. Delicious
Cow And Calf Inn – Marple40% off a bottle of house wine every Wednesday.
