12 of us visited yesterday for my daughters 21st birthday meal, We were upstairs which was lovely , As always the food and the service were amazing, Nothing was too much trouble, staff even brought out her cake (which we brought) then sliced it all up for us

As usual, great food, great beer, and great atmosphere.

We went on a Friday lunchtime. The tables were full but it was not crowded. The pub was warm and welcoming. We have a large puppy, a German Shepherd. She was made very welcome and we didn't feel that she was in the way. We had an excellent lunch, two of us had Cullen Skink, which could possibly have had a little more of the smoked haddock in it to give a stronger flavour, but was very enjoyable. My husband had the steak pie which he said was excellent. We were too full to have a pudding! Will definitely return.

Booked a meal for wife and I on Wednesday 29 th Jan. to celebrate my birthday. Booked online which was very easy. Table was booked for 6.30pm.we arrived and were quickly shown to our table, wine ordered, and the evening was seamless, attentive staff. Great food and wine, nice ambience, a lovely evening was had. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

Thought we'd try the Roast Dinner and very glad we did. Everything was beautifully done and tasted great. Crispy potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding, well seasoned veg. The nut roast was also very tasty, not dry like some. We will definitely be back!
