Booked as family had previously eaten here. Both the starters and the mains were lovely. The only issue was one of our group ordered the lamb rump but received the lamb henry. Not a huge issue, we didn't even mention it to them and it was beautifully cooked. Will definitely eat here again when we next visit. The staff were very helpful and polite. The bar area is very small so difficult to get a sit if you arrive too early for your meal. Not too much of an issue for us as we took our drinks outside but not always an option if the weather isn't being kind.

Food was mediocre, we had to pre order as we were a large table yet still waited an hour between starters and mains. Kids portions were tiny one piece of broccoli as a side. chips were horrible crispy, greasy but also undercooked. Staff could have been better no one told us how to order drinks or dessert and we never got asked how the food was. wouldn’t rush back

Have eaten at the Sage and Vine quite a few times now and the food is always delicious. The menu isn’t very big which always means freshly prepared food . Having said the menu isn’t very big and someone that only eats seafood or vegetarian I find the choices on that menu brilliant and the house salad is delicious with the fresh made pizzas .So nice to see it busy and thriving.

We both had 3 courses, absolutely delicious. Special mention for the cheesecake. Excellent service. A fair price given the quality of food and service. We will definitely book again

Had a lovely meal here whilst staying in Grasmere. Excellent food and well presented. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Bistro was very busy and can see why with the quality of food. Will definitely visit again on our next stay in Grasmere.

The food was excellent. great food cooked and presented very well. The staff were very helpful, attentive and made good suggestions. Would definitely go again and take friends if we were in Penrith together!

Must be honest, great weekend in a very nice atmospheric pub where the staff went out of there way to make you feel welcome and valued. Very good food, excellent guest beers and one felt like this was there local! Definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. To the owners would say you have a great team (look after them)

Beautiful dinner with friends. Leeks in cheese sauce were heavenly. Lamb cutlets cooked to perfection. Attentive service all evening

Enjoyed 2 evening meals at the bistro, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious, my husband stated he’d never had sea-bass as tasty, cheesecake / sticky toffee pudding absolutely yummy . Worth every penny for the experience we both had.

We had a fabulous evening to celebrate my hubbys 60 th and the food and service were great we particularly liked the prawn starter and the rack of lamb we had fantastic service thank you for making the birthday celebration a special experience

Regular visitors to Grasmere but usually in winter months so this was the first time (Sept) we have been able to dine at Lewis's. The place is warm and welcoming as are the staff. Service was excellent. The menu caters for a wide range of preference and tastes. We are not 'foodies' and prefer tasty well cooked food. There were 2 or 3 different main courses that we could happily have chosen and several days later my wife is still talking about the tasty pesto sauce that came with the chicken. Prices are slightly high but that is reflective of the Lake District as a whole these days. Thank you for an excellent meal and we will certainly try to visit again.

Outstanding food and drink!! Loved the comfortable atmosphere and great service from the staff. My wife loved the Risotto and I had the ribeye steak. Desserts were excellent.

Top notch, best restaurant in Grasmere by a country mile, good choice of dishes, excellent chef, great staff really enjoyed our meals here always made welcome.

First time in Lewis's - very tasty food and great friendly service - the rack of lamb was delicious and the cheeseboard was a great way to finish.

Husband and I enjoyed this small restaurant very much. The food was great and so was the relaxed atmosphere. The service was good too, friendly and professional - a bit slow at times but that didn't bother us as we weren't in a rush.
