Hearty good food - roast was super. Breakfast was also very good. Pudding was okay but didn't blow us away. Very much worth the money - atmosphere and staff excellent.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeEasy to book. Friendly welcome. It was a Sunday so limited to Sunday lunch which was fine by us. Food was good. You can have 2 meats if you like. Beef a little too pink for my liking but the chicken was perfect. The landlord was very friendly and couldn’t do enough. I would go again but there are other eateries in the area that are strong competition.
Pig and Whistle – CartmelExcellent Sunday lunch. We were a party of 8 choosing 4 different meals and they were all very good. Wonderful Basque cheesecake to follow. And great atmosphere.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonFirst time visitor to Lewis's but we'll certainly be back. Lovely atmosphere and the food was fantastic. We had the lamb and sea bass and both were excellent. The Baileys cheescake was wicked! Thoroughly recommended.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFood is always 10/10, the service is amazing and staff are always really helpful. Never had a bad meal!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWhat a wonderful place. The ambience and environment is just so lovely and the food is excellent. The Duck, Lamb, deserts are just delicious. Staff are very welcoming.

Goody Blake’s – GrasmereGreat spot, delicious food and homely service. Well worth a visit.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had a big table of 10 and literally everyone loved the night. Cocktails were lovely, some of us had pasta which was amazing, some of us had steak (melted in the mouth), and some of us had seafood. They all came out at the same time which is incredible for so many different dishes! We had someone hard of hearing at our table and the staff kindly turned music down so we could talk easier. Everyone was so lovely that we spoke to. Thank you for an amazing night.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe would have chosen everything in the menu, and were delighted with our food. Friendly front of house team made us feel comfortable and welcome.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAbsolutely stunning. Food was incredible and service was warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grasmere to enjoy a meal here. One of the nicest restaurants we’ve been to in a long time.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis is about the 5th time I have eaten here, in the last 4 years. Every time the food is absolutely first class. Not your normal pub chain stuff, clearly homemade and a really nice menu. Throw in great drink selection, friendly locals, great atmosphere and great staff. Oh and dog friendly with a real fire. My favourite pub in the Lake District.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had an excellent meal, the food was fantastic and the portions were very generous. We were very pleased that a side dish of vegetables were served alongside the main courses. We had two young children and a baby with us but were made to feel very welcome as the staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsMyself and my mum love the YTB food, especially their supper clubs so when we saw their roast dinner advertised under the new head chef Scott we had to book! The roast at £34 with a dessert included was great value for money as the roast came with all the trimmings and plenty of gravy! We literally couldn’t fault any of it and the desserts were really tasty too. Highly recommend to anybody thinking of visiting.
