Visited last night. Staff lovely especially the blond lady. Sadly even though I booked a week before we were sat right in front of the door getting really cold when people were in and out. Nice atmosphere. The chicken was lovely but sadly the fillet steak wasn’t fillet and was really bland. The soup was not very appealing and the prawns were tiny little things. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Little bit overpriced but not much competition for them in Grasmere.

Great tasting food, have the same every time, lasagna and cheesy garlic bread, why change what you love, really helpful and friendly, nothing any trouble to them

Stayed in my campervan overnight which was free as long as I had dinner in the pub which I would expect anyway really good food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Lovely old traditional pub

Visited with my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We struggled to decide what to eat as everything on the menu sounded so delicious. We shared some small plates and it was very good indeed washed down a lovely glass of Merlot. A cosy intimate atmosphere added to our experience along with friendly helpful staff. We look forward to our next visit.

Had a lovely evening at The Pheasant Inn, the food was lovely and the staff more lovely. We really enjoyed our meal and experience. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The Pheasant Inn never fails. As always, the food was fab (venison for two of us as a change to the lamb, plus steak and ale pie), service with a smile and a bit of banter. Wonderful ambience. Thank you

My meal at Grants was excellent as was the service. I was surprised by the lack of people on a Friday night because the quality of the producd and chefs skills are 5/5. The wine selection is outdated and the interior.

First time here, certainly not dissapointed,very good service, food very tasty & piping hot. Quality desert too. Will definitely return on next visit to Carlisle.

Another wonderful evening in Lewis’s. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and incredible food at a reasonable price. Five stars all round. We’lll definitely be back!!

Absolutely great, and the risotto was one of the best I have ever had.

A real jewel in Grasmere as I have definitely not rated the evening meals elsewhere in the area on our yearly visits. Lovely staff and more importantly, delicious food. The sauce with the steak was absolutely incredible. Scallops cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding was a delight.

Best pub food in Keswick without a doubt. It is a little way out at Crosthwaite , but walkable from Keswick centre or down through Fitz park. Recommend booking.

What a lovely meal. The pheasant was excellent as was the lamb. A lovely (winter) pub with fires , good beer and a friendly atmosphere. We’ve eaten twice in two nights and would thoroughly recommend.
