Beautiful food, hot, tasty, great service as always
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFound Lewis’ through excellent reviews and decided to have a dinner here with my wife. Food, service, atmosphere and value for money were exceptionally good. Had excellent dishes like: pan fried scallops, sea bass fillet and ice cream combination of several different flavors, all of these were outstanding combination of flavors, erbs etc. Strong warm recommendation for those who want to dine in this lovely restaurant. Reservation highly recommended, as there are limited amount of seats (34 when we were there, according to some reviews only 24), some of our hiking group did not make the reservation and as place was fully booked, had to find another good restaurant. Visiting the beautiful lake district area and having the possibility to enjoy excellent dinner here was an excellent decision.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereHad a great meal here whilst on holiday. Fantastic food, Friendly staff and superb service. Loved everything about The Pheasant Inn, wish we lived closer so we could return more often.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat country pub/inn. Friendly staff, made to feel welcome and the food was amazing. The battered fish and chips was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. The size of the fish was huge and it was cooked perfectly. We weren’t rushed and allowed to relax and enjoy our evening even after finishing our food. Highly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalHad eaten here on a previous holiday so booked in advance of our visit. Once again was not disappointed. Lovely intimate restaurant with friendly service & excellent food. As everything is freshly prepared you need to be a little patient but with a bottle of wine to keep us company this was never a problem. Would certainly recommend.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereCame to Grasmere as a couple for a break and found Lewis’ through some research and the reviews. My first couple of choices were sold out (a positive as it summarises the popularity and freshness of the food) We ordered the Pork Belly and the Chicken and they were amazing dishes, nice wine selection and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent fantastic service and meals for our family of 5. Love the dogs in the bar area!!!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely food, and fantastic service, as always. Did not disappoint.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe had a lovely meal on Sunday evening. Food was very tasty and service was friendly and efficient. We had the beef pie and fish pie, which were very good. The children's menu had a good choice and was good value.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAn absolutely delicious meal for 3 of us, far exceeding our expectations, with friendly staff and homely atmosphere. The Lamb Henry in particular was incredible. Will certainly return next time we are in the area!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThis is our third visit and every time is as good as the last. Food excellent, friendly staff and great service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSome of our party enjoyed the food (fish special in particular) but other dishes not so great. Ham and chips was gammon (or some other grilled meat) and was dry and tough. Chips obvs cooked twice. Veg curry didn’t live up to the menu billing (low on spice, heat and no protein) and had to ask for the naan which was a cold shop-bought effort. Halloumi starter was dark brown and very over cooked. So, pricey for a poor meal. Nice space though and the staff were very helpful.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalLovely pub in Cartmel, cosy atmosphere, great service and great food.
Pig and Whistle – CartmelOutstanding every time from the warm welcome as you enter to the service at the bar. Nice decor, amazing service and food. Highly recommended, five star all the way. It’s not very often nowadays where you can get homemade food served. Top notch bar staff, waitress and chef.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleLovely restaurant great atmosphere and food was amazing, would call again when in the area x
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGood hearty pub food in a lovely country side very dog friendly pub in the pretty village of Brigsteers. As we were staying in the village it was nice to walk here. We had the fish and chips and the homity pie. Both were good and huge portions. Friendly waitress served us making us feel welcome.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalBeautiful food and great service!
