Superb! Four of us dined on Saturday evening and from start to finish we couldn’t fault it. We got a warm welcome and we’re seated immediately. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was well presented and delicious! We were all still talking about it the next day and will definitely be back!

Three of us went twice to this restaurant. We were so impressed and were only in Grasmere for 3 evenings! The service was very attentive, especially to our request to not sit by the door. The staff were all so friendly , and helpful. We food was well presented, generous and served on hot plates.

When for birthday meal beautiful food with excellent service. I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant

This was our second visit to Lewis’ Bistro. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, especially the French onion soup on a cold night! We each had two starters, both of which were lovely. Great service in a relaxed atmosphere. To be recommended.

We visit Lewis’s every time we visit Grasmere and they are open, generally 3 times a year. That speaks volumes for the food, service and value. See you in June!

We my 3 friends and I love this Italian Restaurant and visit regularly. Until our last visit on the 26th April 24 we would have always said it was PERFECT!!! Although we had a nice meal and good service we noticed he standard of food and service was not as good as previously. We heard that the restaurant is expanding and wish the owner Our Best. We hope the wonderful food and service will not suffer as a result of the expansion of the restaurant as it up to now has been exceptional and and a pleasure to visit.

Staff welcoming, warm and very friendly; food excellent; service really good. We were given a great bay-window seat - considering we’d booked via the online app. A wonderful old, historic venue. Next time, though, some background music will be lovely; my wife and I dined solely to the background guttural sounds of the conversing German party on the adjoining table, which spoiled our experience. The room was a chilly, too - my wife ate with her coat on.

Another fantastic meal at la mezzaluna Jane and her amazing staff do a fantastic job we have eaten here so many times ran out of praise for the team from starter to sweet and not forgetting the lovely bottle of house red perfect best place to eat not too expensive highly recommend will be back soon

We arrived at 7:30pm to be told that there was no beef burgers, gammon and the pie had changed. So there was pretty much nothing left on the menu to have. So we left. Also the guy ignored use when we first arrived and carried on doing something on the computer screen, left use waiting, standing there feeling a bit uncomfortable till he finally said hi. All he had to say was Hi, sorry I’ll be with you in a minute, just need to finish something off.

We came to Lewis's bistro for the first time after we received a list of recommended restraunts from Heidi's Lodge where we were staying and what a gem to find! Beautful decor, lovely staff, and some of the best food we have ever had. Can't wait to come back

Very nice food served by very friendly & pleasant staff. All enjoyed in a very nice & relaxed setting. Lovely decor in the pub , clean & modern but also kept it s old world charm! We will be back to sample more on this menu!
