Visit the Pheasant with my parents for a birthday meal. Food was good so were staff . everyone had a very nice evening Three of us had the chicken and ham pie which was delicious but we all felt it needed a bit more chicken and ham in it.

I love this restaurant, the food is scrumptious and the service friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. We’ve been coming here since it opened and a holiday in the Lakes wouldn’t be complete without a visit - the Eccles Cake is next level - see you next year!

We visited here while on holiday in Grasmere. The food was excellent and great service, such a lovely restaurant. Definitely recommend a visit here and we can't wait to go again when next in Grasmere.

Food was served in a reasonable time. We both enjoyed it. I had Cobb salad and curried Haloumi fries, hubby had the burger. It’s also dog friendly so that also important to us too

We had an anniversary meal in Grants and it couldn't have been better, lovely friendly atmosphere, and fantastic food, wil definitely be back, and will .recommend it.

Fantastic gluten free lamb Sunday dinner. Could not fault. Lamb on bone cooked to perfection and accompanied by hot vegetables. Lemon sorbet lovely too. Would highly recommend but make sure you book to avoid disappointment. Thanks to all the staff. Lovely atmosphere.

It was a lovely meal but the place was so cold that I had to keep my coat on the whole time

We had a fantastic meal at this bistro and as it was for a special occasion went all out on 3 courses each plus wine. All the food was fabulous with an amazing cheesy gratin to start (a last minute choice I'm so glad I went for!) beautiful monkfish dish and a sticky toffee pudding the boy on the table behind me pronounced the best he's ever had - I've probably had many more but this was definitely right up there! The service was excellent, professional and friendly, with a smile and extra word for all parties. The price reflects the quality and also the generous portion sizes, we were pretty full when we left but very happy and would definitely return!
