Nice traditional pub with friendly welcoming staff however the food was very disappointing and we won't be returning for that reason.

Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithFantastic food and service
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely meal. Great service. Already visited on numerous occasions. Always enjoyed. Can recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a great three course meal here on Friday night. Excellent food and drinks. Refreshing to have vegetarian options that aren’t an after thought and genuinely taste great! Highly recommend
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGood service great food nowt better
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThe staff went above and beyond by making my husband a mango and passion fruit cheese cake. Why was this unusual? Because it was not on the menu but in response to a special request for a birthday treat. Would definitely visits again.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithLovely meal as per usual...very friendly staff as always...
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe visited due to the very good reviews and wanted a special evening out whilst away. It is a very nice place and the staff friendly and welcoming. I chose the Lamb Shank, given the good reviews, however mine was well overcooked, some of it being inedible, the rest also ruined. Reluctantly they discounted the meal but sadly the night was not the special evening out we wanted, a shame given the many good reviews.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent food and service as always
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely restaurant, high quality food and service. Recommended.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely meal , 1st time there for me but really lovely Good service n friendly waitresses
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleA birthday treat for my daughters 18th. Food was nice and was clearly a popular place to eat as was busy on a Tuesday evening. Was a bit disappointed they never put a candle in her dessert. Overall good experience and would reccommend.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely food and atmosphere. This is our 3rd visit and enjoyable as previous visits. Portion sizes are really good with the cheese selection being a big hit for us. We will be back for more visits.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFirst time here and we’re not disappointed….the atmosphere was perfect, buzzing but not noisy. Friendly knowledgeable staff who really seemed to care and were passionate about the food they were serving….and no wonder, everything we ordered was top class. We had scollops, garlic mushrooms followed by steak and pork belly, everything perfectly cooked and excellently presented. Couldn’t fault any aspect of our visit, we will definitely be booking next time we are in Grasmere, thank you for a great evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFood was excellent, staff were lovely. Dog friendly. It was quiet when we went in March so the atmosphere could have been better but overall I don’t know why the place wasn’t packed. Good value for money. Please visit, you won’t regret it
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereBooked a surprise 60th Birthday Party for 19 people at La Mezzaluna, all staff were fantastic, helpful, & very friendly, going the extra mile to make the occasion that bit extra special. The food, atmosphere & the restaurant was fantastic & also excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. Thankyou to all concerned.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLamb Henry was lovely , but I found the venison a little tough but it was full of flavour. Very good portions
Pheasant Inn – KeswickBooked Sunday for late dinner, no beef left so we both had the roast ham which was the excellent along with the veg which was cooked differently.Service was prompt and the staff were pleasant and polite.Would return next time were in the area.
